AISSMSCOE BE admissions are governed by the DTE Maharashtra Centralised Admission Process (CAP), based on MHT-CET or JEE Main scores. The 2026-27 cycle has concluded across all four CAP rounds.

The 2027-28 cycle will open with MHT-CET 2027, tentatively in mid-2027. Key events from the concluded 2026-27 cycle and the tentative 2027-28 timeline are shown below.

MTech admission for 2027-28 will follow the Maharashtra MAH-M.Tech-MCA-CET or GATE route, with counselling managed by DTE Maharashtra on a similar timeline.

AISSMS College of Engineering Courses and Fees

AISSMSCOE offers nine BE specialisations, lateral entry in all nine streams, six MTech specialisations, and PhD programmes across five disciplines. The General quota BE total fee is uniform across all nine streams at INR 6,64,944 for four years. MTech total fee is INR 1,81,000 for two years.

Management quota BE fees are INR 21,90,712 for four years. Hostel fees range from INR 1,05,000 to INR 1,40,000 per year for female students and INR 1,30,000 to INR 1,35,000 for male students, inclusive of lodging and mess.

BE Admission

BE admission at AISSMSCOE follows DTE Maharashtra’s CAP process.

• Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Minimum 45% aggregate marks for General category and 40% for reserved categories.
• Entrance exam: MHT-CET (PCM paper) or JEE Main Paper 1. Both scores are accepted for CAP counselling.
• CAP counselling: 80% of seats are filled through DTE Maharashtra’s centralised CAP rounds. Candidates register on the DTE portal, fill preferences, and are allotted seats based on percentile and category.
• Institute-level quota: 20% of seats are filled through direct institute-level admission for candidates meeting basic eligibility.

The MHT-CET 2025 closing percentile for Computer Engineering at AISSMSCOE under CAP Round 1 was 97 percentile (General Open category). Core engineering branches such as Mechanical and Civil close at lower percentile ranges in later rounds.

BE Lateral Entry

Diploma holders and BSc (Physics + Mathematics) graduates may enter directly into the second year of BE through the DTE Maharashtra Lateral Entry CAP. Eligibility requires a minimum 45% aggregate in the qualifying diploma or BSc degree.

MTech and PhD Admission

MTech admission requires a valid GATE score or MAH-M.Tech-MCA-CET 2026 score, followed by DTE Maharashtra’s PG CAP counselling. PhD admissions are conducted by SPPU through a centralised entrance test, typically held twice a year.

AISSMSCOE placement data for 2023-24 shows 311 students placed out of 767 in the graduating batch. The median package was INR 3.40 LPA and the historical highest package on record is INR 45 LPA. The average package across batches has been reported at INR 4.50 LPA. IT and Computer Engineering branches account for the majority of placements.

The Pune location gives AISSMSCOE access to Pune’s established IT and manufacturing industries. IT services companies are the primary recruiters from the Computer Engineering and AI/ML departments. Core engineering branches including Mechanical and Electrical draw recruiters from Pune’s automotive and manufacturing cluster.

Regular recruiters from IT services include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, and IBM. Cybage Software and Tech Mahindra have also recruited consistently. Core engineering departments attract companies from the Pune manufacturing and automotive sectors such as L&T, Mahindra, and Tata Motors.

AISSMS College of Engineering Rankings

AISSMS College of Engineering participates in NIRF 2025 Engineering rankings but does not appear in the NIRF ranked list. Among other major ranking bodies, the college holds strong positions regionally. The Outlook 2026 rank of #90 out of 200 in private engineering nationally places AISSMSCOE in the top half of ranked private engineering institutions in India.

AISSMS College of Engineering Campus and Infrastructure

AISSMSCOE occupies an 11-acre campus at Kennedy Road, Shivajinagar, Pune, near the city’s civic and commercial centre. The urban location gives students proximity to Pune’s IT firms, manufacturing companies, and public transport networks. Departmental labs cover Computer Engineering, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, and AI research, alongside workshops and seminar halls.

The campus includes a sports ground used for cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, and indoor sports such as table tennis, carrom, and chess. Hostel facilities are available for outstation students. Male hostel fees range from INR 1,30,000 to INR 1,35,000 per year and female hostel fees from INR 1,05,000 to INR 1,40,000 per year, inclusive of mess. The campus also has medical, banking, and transport facilities.

Aspirants shortlisting AISSMSCOE frequently compare it with Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT Pune) and Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCOE), both in the Pune metropolitan area. All three are SPPU-affiliated engineering colleges serving the MHT-CET applicant pool.

VIT Pune is the oldest of the three and carries a higher NIRF Engineering rank nationally, with stronger placements in technology product roles. PCCOE is located in the Pimpri-Chinchwad industrial belt, giving its Mechanical and Automobile Engineering students close access to the automotive manufacturing cluster. AISSMS is the most centrally located, with the Kennedy Road campus near Pune’s civic hub. All three offer the same SPPU degree and MHT-CET-based admission pathway.
