BLDEA’s V.P. Dr. P.G. Halakatti College of Engineering and Technology offers a four-year BE Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning programme affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, and approved by AICTE. The programme covers AI algorithms, neural networks, data science, and software engineering. Admission is through KCET 2026 or COMEDK UGET 2026. The total fee is INR 8,80,000.

• The total payable for the four-year BE (AI and Machine Learning) programme is INR 8,80,000, at INR 2,20,000 per year across eight semesters.

Important Dates

Entrance Exam Dates

• Government-quota seats at BLDEACET are allotted through KCET 2026 counselling managed by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). Candidates participate in the online choice-filling exercise and receive allotments based on their KCET rank, category reservation, and branch preferences. BLDEACET CET code is E038.
• COMEDK UGET quota seats are allotted through the centralised COMEDK counselling process (COMEDK code E026). Both state-domicile and out-of-state candidates may participate.
• Management-quota seats are filled directly by the college subject to VTU and Karnataka government norms. Candidates may contact the admissions office at 9513398031.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have passed the 10+2 (PUC or equivalent) examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry, Computer Science, Biology, or Electronics as an additional subject.
• A minimum aggregate of 45 per cent marks in the qualifying examination (40 per cent for SC/ST/OBC as per Karnataka state norms) is required.
• For KCET quota seats, candidates must be Karnataka state domicile or satisfy the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).
• For COMEDK UGET seats, candidates from any state may apply; no domicile restriction applies for the COMEDK quota.

Admission Process

• Appear in KCET 2026 (April 23-24) or COMEDK UGET 2026 (May 9) to obtain a rank for government or COMEDK quota seats respectively.
• Register on the KEA portal (for KCET) or the COMEDK counselling portal (for COMEDK) after results are declared, and upload required documents.
• Fill in college-branch preferences online, listing BLDEACET (CET code E038 / COMEDK code E026) and the desired branch among your choices.
• Receive seat allotment based on rank and availability; accept the allotted seat within the stipulated window and pay the provisional admission fee.
• Report to BLDEACET, Vijayapura, with original documents (10+2 mark sheets, transfer certificate, category certificate if applicable) for document verification and enrolment.

• SC and ST students domiciled in Karnataka are eligible for full tuition reimbursement under the Karnataka government post-matric scholarship scheme, credited directly to the institution.
• OBC students may apply for partial fee assistance through the Karnataka government scholarship portal; income limits and annual quotas apply.
• Female students and students with disabilities in AICTE-approved programmes may apply for AICTE Pragati and Saksham scholarships respectively through the National Scholarship Portal.
