Ques. What is the eligibility for M.Tech Machine Design at BLDEACET?
Ans. Candidates must hold a BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline with at least 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for SC/ST). A valid Karnataka PGCET 2026 rank (Mechanical group) or GATE 2026 score in ME or XE is required.
Ques. How are M.Tech Machine Design seats filled at BLDEACET?
Ans. Government-quota seats are allotted through KEA counselling after PGCET results (tentatively July 8, 2026). GATE-quota seats are also available. Management-quota seats are filled directly; call 9513398031 or email admissions@bldeacet.ac.in.
Ques. What is the total fee for M.Tech Machine Design at BLDEACET?
Ans. The total fee is INR 1,39,000 for two years (INR 69,500 per year). Examination and lab fees are levied separately each semester. Hostel charges are optional.
Ques. What does the M.Tech Machine Design curriculum at BLDEACET cover?
Ans. The programme follows VTU’s postgraduate syllabus covering design methodology, finite element analysis, computer-aided design and manufacturing, tribology, and product development. CAD and manufacturing labs support practical work.
Ques. What career opportunities follow M.Tech Machine Design from BLDEACET?
Ans. Graduates can work as design engineers, R&D engineers, or manufacturing engineers in automotive, heavy machinery, and tooling companies. Ques. Can a Mechanical diploma holder apply for M.Tech Machine Design?
Ans. No. M.Tech admission requires a full BE/B.Tech degree. Diploma holders must first complete BE/B.Tech through the lateral entry route, then apply for PGCET after graduation.
