Admission to the B.Tech Lateral Entry programme is based on Diploma aggregate marks; no separate entrance exam is required. AKTU conducts counselling through the UPTAC portal at uptac.samarth.edu.in.

Diploma holders are admitted to the second year of the four-year B.Tech and complete three years at BNCET.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold a three-year Diploma in the relevant Engineering or Technology branch from a recognised State Board of Technical Education with a minimum of 45 per cent aggregate marks (40 per cent for SC/ST candidates).

Alternatively, candidates with a B.Sc. degree (with Mathematics as a subject) from a recognised university with a minimum of 45 per cent aggregate marks are eligible for lateral entry into the second year.

Candidates must be registered or eligible for registration with the relevant technical authority under AKTU norms.
