Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Class 12) or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with any one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or Biology.

A minimum aggregate of 45 per cent in the qualifying examination is required for general category candidates (40 per cent for reserved category candidates under MAKAUT norms).

Admission is through WBJEE 2026 (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) conducted by WBJEEB on May 24, 2026, and/or a valid JEE Main 2026 score.

Candidates seeking admission on the basis of JEE Main must also apply through the WBJEEB counselling portal and fill in college preferences for BCET Durgapur.

Admission Process

Appear for WBJEE 2026 (held May 24, 2026) at wbjeeb.nic.in, or use a valid JEE Main 2026 score for WBJEE-participating college admissions.

Check WBJEE 2026 result declared on June 18, 2026 at wbjeeb.nic.in.

Register for WBJEEB counselling at wbjeeb.nic.in (starts June 29, 2026) and fill in choice preferences, selecting BCET Durgapur and the relevant branch.

Report to BCET Durgapur for document verification with originals: Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, WBJEE scorecard or JEE Main scorecard, category certificate if applicable, and identity proof.
