Ans. CIPET is an autonomous institute known for its specialization in plastics technology. Any course related to plastics in this institute is definitely a good choice. Diploma in Plastic Industries (DPT) has a very limited scope but it’s a job many admire.  Future Prospect: After completion of DPT, one can go for Btech in Plastics technology and then go for MTech. Many private companies are situated in Noida and Ghaziabad where students can apply for jobs. Students can apply for PSU’s such as IOCL after completion of the course. CIPET Lucknow is considered to be the best among other CIPET’s for the DPT course. The placement record of CIPET Lucknow in DPT is quite remarkable with achieving a 100% placement sometimes. The placement record of CIPET Lucknow also has a decent salary record. The campus selection directly after completion increases the chances of getting work experience which will help in the future to land your dream job. Though, if you want to apply for CIPET, you need to qualify for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for a diploma first. Ans. The salary offered for B.Tech students during their training period is around Rs. 12,000 -17,000.  Salary Based on Degrees: Students in the marketing department get some travel allowance too which can be summed up to Rs 20,000 in total.  Students who have completed their post-graduate are offered Rs 25,000 -30,000 per month during the training period. The training period lasts from 6 months to 1 year.  Though, the hike or increment is offered to the students after the successful completion of their training period. Salary Based on Company: The salary absolutely depends on the type of company.  Some companies offer Rs 12,000 with food and accommodation while other companies offer Rs 17,000 without food and accommodation.  Tier 2 Vendor Production Company offers around Rs 12,000 per month for fresher, design start-ups offers around Rs 15,000 per month while Tier 1 companies such as TVS or Ford offer a starting salary of Rs 25,000 per month. The campus placement offers a higher salary than off-campus recruitments. The lowest salary is offered for walk-ins and referral recruits. The institute has no role to play depending on the salary of the students rather the skills of the student play a major role. Though, the recruited position and the company will determine the salary.Read more

Ans. As per the alumni of CIPET, DPT, and DPMT both are good and a bit different from each other. Students opting for DPT have limited career growth. For DPT, areas of growth are limited to processing or quality executive. The exposure for students opting for DPMT is vast. The opportunities for DPMT include tool room, mould design, research and development, and new product development. Points of Focus: In DPT, the strength, toughness, melting point, and applications of polymers are focused upon along with plastics and machine maintenance.  In DPMT, the points of focus are CNCs milling and CNCs lathe, mould maintenance, EDM electric discharge machine, and designing. DPMT mainly involves the manufacturing of moulds for structuring plastics. With the knowledge of mold designing, students will get an overview of the processing and necessary operations involved. Difference: In DPT and DPMT, the only difference lies in the syllabus is the addition of tooling knowledge and design knowledge in DPMT.  The mould design in the DPMT syllabus also teaches 2D-3D designing of mold in the tool room which can help you to become a master of plastics. Students can opt for DPMT for more exposure and scope.Read more

Ans. CIPET, a best-in-class institute that focuses on the studies of plastics and their products. Admission - Students who have completed Higher Secondary Education are eligible for admissions. The admission process is carried on by the state counseling process which is conducted by Anna University, Chennai. The seats are filled based on the engineering cut-off and the cut-off is based on the category of students. The other way is very uncertain and entirely based on luck. The procedure involves the students who opt to not join the college after completion of counseling. This process is known as lapse seat filling. It is based on a first come first serve basis where students can directly walk-in for admission.  The students who have completed their diploma courses can directly opt for lateral entry which means that they can directly take admission in the second year.  Campus - The campus of CIPET institute is not so vast. The academic building consists of four floors with classrooms, a video conference hall, a placement cell, a computer lab, a seminar hall, an accounts section, and a cabin for professors. There is a research center inside the campus named ARSTPS. Fees - The fees of the institute are fixed by the government. Though, some miscellaneous and hostel fees will be further added to the fees fixed by the government. It is estimated that the fees will be around Rs 1, 20,000 per year including hostel fees.  Quality of education - The library is well equipped with books especially on polymers which can’t be found in general libraries.  The laboratories consist of all the facilities and students have the freedom to learn the working principles and procedures.  The questions in the exams are relatively easy and simple. In the evening you can learn about design courses such as Pro E, CATIA, SOLID WORKS, MOULD FLOW, in the design center of CIPET.  Placements - The placements are considered to be good. The placement is given only to the core companies.  Reliance Industries Ltd. offers the highest CTCs in placements. The average CTC offered at the institute is around INR 15,000 to 20,000 per month. Events – A cultural fest named Cipofest is organized in the last two days of March which includes various non-technical and entertaining events. Two symposiums named Negizhi and Uruvakkam are organized by plastics and manufacturing students between the month of October – November. The starting salary packages offered at CIPET are low as compared to other undergraduate streams but the field of plastics offers a lot of opportunities. You can earn a lot with few years of experience. Taking admission at IITs or IISc is also easy with a degree from CIPET.Read more

I choose this college because of the branch "plastic Engineering" as there is a very high scope with low competition. The college education system is nice because most of the students who appear for higher education after graduating from this college crack exam like GATE with a good score. At last, the fee structure is good and fees are fairly low. Whereas CIPET also comes under the Central government and is going to be a very competitive University in India.
