GVAIET Admission Dates 2026

GVAIET B.Tech admissions for the 2026-27 academic session are governed by MHT CET and JEE Main scores, channelled through the DTE Maharashtra Centralised Admission Process (CAP). CAP Round 3 allotment has been released and CAP Round 4 closes the cycle in early September 2026.

GVAIET Admission Process

All B.Tech admissions at GVAIET for government quota seats flow through the DTE Maharashtra Centralised Admission Process (CAP). Management quota seats (roughly 20% of intake) are filled by the institute directly.

B.Tech Admission - Eligibility

• Passed Class 12 (10+2) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry or Computer Science.
• Minimum 45% aggregate in Class 12 for General category candidates.
• Minimum 40% aggregate for candidates from SC, ST, OBC, NT, VJ, SBC, and EWS categories.
• Valid MHT CET (PCM) score or valid JEE Main score is mandatory for CAP-quota admission.
• Diploma holders in relevant engineering disciplines may apply for Direct Second Year (DSE) lateral entry via the DTE Maharashtra DSE CAP.

B.Tech Admission - Selection Process

• Step 1: Appear in MHT CET (PCM) or JEE Main and secure a valid score.
• Step 2: Register on the DTE Maharashtra CAP portal at fe2026.mahacet.org during the registration window.
• Step 3: Complete online document verification on the CAP portal.
• Step 4: Fill the option form with GVAIET and preferred branches during each CAP round window.
• Step 5: Check allotment result. Choose FREEZE (confirm the allotted seat), FLOAT (upgrade to a higher-preference college in the next round), or SLIDE (upgrade within GVAIET to a preferred branch).
• Step 6: Report to GVAIET with original Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets, entrance scorecard, domicile certificate, and caste certificate if applicable.

For management quota seats, candidates should visit the GVAIET campus directly or contact the admissions office at admission@gvaiet.org. Management quota seats do not go through the DTE Maharashtra CAP system.

MHT CET closing percentile for GVAIET typically allows admission for candidates in the lower-to-mid MHT CET percentile range, making it accessible to a broad pool of aspirants who may not secure seats at more heavily subscribed Mumbai-city colleges.

GVAIET Placements

GVAIET campus placement drives have seen graduates placed at companies including TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, and Infosys. Internship drives have also involved LTI and Cognizant among others, with roles spanning Software Developer, QA Tester, and Data Analyst positions.

GVAIET Campus and Infrastructure

The GVAIET campus is located at Shelu village, Karjat taluka, Raigad district, roughly 70 km from South Mumbai along the Mumbai-Pune highway corridor. The location offers a quieter academic environment away from the congestion of the main Mumbai metropolitan zone.

The campus has Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms, a dedicated library, and eight computer labs for engineering students. Smart classrooms and sports facilities are also part of the campus infrastructure. Hostel accommodation is available on campus: 45 seats for male and 25 seats for female students. Hostel charges are approximately INR 10,000 per semester with a separate mess fee of INR 3,500 per semester, billed outside the regulated tuition fee.

The college provides transport facilities and has a canteen on campus. Extra-curricular activities include workshops, seminars, cultural events, and sports competitions. Students are advised to confirm hostel availability and accommodation arrangements before accepting a CAP seat allotment, as the total hostel capacity of 70 seats is limited relative to the 210-seat B.Tech intake.
