This college is known for its beautiful and greeny campus. It is ranked no: 2 in Kerala and gives students more freedom in their campus life than any other college I personally know about, and that is the sole reason I opted for this college.
Tech giants like Amazon, Oracle Apps, Oracle FSS, Big Binary often visits the CPUs along with numerous other companies. The placement cell head is the only black mark of the entire process. They are always harsh towards students and often blacklist them without proper reasoning. But the alumni network is well intact and they are always there to give you referrals any time you need.
Overall I say that this is one of the best places to study engineering in Kerala both academically and co curricular wise. Just a plethora of events and activities await you here so don't miss the opportunity to come here if you get one.
The main step in the admission procedure is passing the Kerala entrance examination, KEAM. 12th standard marks along with your KEAM score is considered during allotment and rank determination. I opted for chemical engineering here as it is widely regarded as the best college to study this course in Kerala. Also my interested towards chemistry made me choose this course. Once you've been allotted your rank you can apply to colleges from the KEAM web portal and there are 4 rounds of allotment in which after the second round you have to pay the allotment fees if you have been allotted a college. 1 KEAM Engineering entrance exam. Entrance rank is between1- 6000. They are 4 allotments. After entrance we have opt college and course. CEE Conduct a trial allotment. Then first allotment. Then second allotment. And College transfer and Course transfer allotment.
Government engineering College Thrissur is a old engineering College built from the 50's. There is a lot of good stuff going through college like there is always is a positive vibe. I think there is no bad thing about my college.
I opt mechanical engineering because I like those stuffs. I got admission by Kerala entrance examination in 2019. I chose GEC Thrissur because it is not far from my house when compared to other colleges and GECT has a good history in past. The admission procedure was so easy because senior students were there to help us.

First you have to give the entrance exam KEAM. The ranklist is publishing based on the entrance marks and plus two marks. From the ranklist we can apply for various courses in GEC. From the application first they releasing a list of students who got the seats. Later we can apply for tranfer etc.

One of the oldest and best engineering cillege in kerala. I joined in september 2012. It was last allotment and i entered the college after almost one month after most of my classmates. Transfer from NSS Palakkad. There were no clear image. I went department and completed procedure with parents. No party workers since there was no attention seeking crowd

Syllabus was updated enough for the university and The curriculum was intriguing and The Academics were good enough and faculties were good and experienced and helpful and skilled. They helped keep the students innovative.

Merit List, The merit list had been prepared by Govt. of Kerala, Higher Education Department. From the list, The priority of rank of people had given choices of course including the college. Normally we prefer first Government Colleges and later Management colleges.
