Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology (GTBIT) was established under the aegis of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) in the year 1999. The institute is a degree level technical institute which is AICTE approved and affiliated to GGISP University. It is an ISO certified institute which has been graded 'A' by Delhi Government. The admission to GTBIT is made on the basis of marks scored in the Common Entrance Test conducted by the affiliating University.

As it is a degree-level institute, GTBIT offers B.Tech in various branches for which the educational requirements are given below:
The B.Tech program is offered in Information Technology, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering. The applicants must have acquired minimum 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2 examination or its equivalent and must have passed English. The selection of the candidate will be based on the score obtained in the Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (IPU-CET).
Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test is a University-level entrance examination conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Engineering, Medical, Law, Management etc.

Note: For B.Tech (Lateral) entry admission, the applicant must possess Diploma in the field of Engineering/ Technology with minimum 60% marks from any University recognized by AICTE. Also, B.Sc graduates with Mathematics as a subject are eligible to apply for the program.
GTBIT placement cell facilitates industrial visits, industry-related projects and summer training to the students. The placement cell aims to develop students professionally which they achieve through lectures, workshops, seminars, discussions, interviews etc. The students undergo two different programs training programs. These programs are designed to make students familiarize with industry and its operations.
