- Teacher are so good. they behave very well. they support all time
- Yes, they provide scholarship fees, the job opportunities are also good and placements are also good.
- Amazing campus and social life. sports culture is one of the best in this college and also the main thing that is placements are the main attraction point of this college
Dislikes
- The hostels facility is not so good. the bathrooms are not so clean and there are hygiene issues. the food in the mess is not that much healthy.
- The things i disliked about my college is the teachers. sometimes the teachers teaches us in bengali language which is not understand by all the students
- The infrastructure of the class is not prominent. we have to ware college uniforms everyday. the projectors are broken in the class. there are broken benches in the class.

This year top placement from mechanical engineering department 96% or average all brunch placement is 80-85%. From 6th semester students eligible for placement. In Hit many company visit like HPL, ICOL,TATA, TCS, CAPGEMINI, INFOSYS, MAHINDRA, BMW, SUZUKI or many more companies.

- Campus is big but in summer you can't do anything because of hot weather
- Water supply is not good in whole area can't drink every drinking water even at college
- Hostels are very old structured and very small rooms

College has very well reputation for placement in my course there are many local companies in haldia who recruit from my college like Haldia petrochemical, Bengal energy etc
Many students are preparing for GATE exam also

- Staff of this college is very supportive, even if it's not their department they help you
- Library is very big(Biggest library among all private colleges of West Bengal), and you can find any book here.
Dislikes
- According to my some batchmates food of mess is not good, they don't maintain hygiene.
- Attendance is the main issue here, they don't even consider if you had any serious problem.
- Placement is good, but not everyone get placed.
Placement Experience:
Placement are good enough.
From 6th semester students become eligible to for campus placements(internships as well as full time offer).
105 companies visited in 2025 and many package offered by them based on student's skill.
highest palcement : 45 LPA offered by amazon.
Percentage of students getting placemnets : 86%.
After getting the degree my plan is to take a decent job and to be finanancially stable.

- The campus is very big of the college which is about 50 acres and very greenly campus
- The events and clubs with sports held in campus is very good and very happening
- The placement opportunities in this college is very good and the faculties are very supportive

- The infrastructure is bit old and renovates it bit very late which impact in bit difficulty
- The senior are very supportive but at the same time they are very strict regarding the discipline which they call it ragging
- The location of the college is bit outside of the main city so you can find it bit difficulty in your starting days of living here
Placement Experience:
Placement of my college are quite good with a avg package of 6 to 7 lpa and higest package of 45 lpa and this year the higest package is 75 lpa. The companies visited in my college are infosys, Capgemini,tcs,wipro, Mindtree,IBM, sometimes amazon also.The placement rate of the college is 85 to 95%.

- The college is some lenient about attendence.
- The semester was comparatively easy if you study few days before exams.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure of the college is not good as modern colleges and the technolgy gadgets not so up to date.
- There is no any fest after 2022-2023 academic year.
- There are many workshops run by many clubs but they are mostly paid
Placement Experience:
The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

- Campus life is pretty good. Campus consists of green lushed environment.There are various facilities available for students such as football grounds, gym, basketball court etc.
- faculties are also decent. Some faculties are very helpfull and friendly.
- Infrastructure is also good and college is surrounded in a 40 acre green lushed campus.
Dislikes
- some faculties should be removed as they are incompetent.
- more technical fest should be organised in order to make crowd more experienced in coding.
Placement Experience:
From 6th semester students are eligible to sit foe placements.Many companies visited our campus such as wipro,capgemini,jsw steel,pwc us,tech mahindra etc.The highest package offered is 12 lpa and the average was around 5 lpa.Around 85 percent students got placed. My plans after getting the degree is to sit for placements and get a goos package.

- I like our faculty members of every departments because they are so much qualified and educated and everyone take care about all students in any purpose
- I like our classrooms and labs because those are very well for education

From the 3rd year means from the 6th semester one student will be eligible for campus placement and in HIT Many companies come for Placement because this college build the student very strong in their theoretical purpose and practical purpose also and this college also provide very good industrial Internship opportunities

- Campus & Environment: The campus is quite spacious and green, offering a peaceful atmosphere. It’s a fully residential college, which creates a close-knit community.
- . Infrastructure: The academic buildings, labs, and library are decent and improving every year.
- Labs are fairly well-equipped for core engineering branches (like Mechanical, Civil, ECE, and CSE).
Dislikes
- Placement Gaps for Core Branches: For Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, and Chemical, placements are not as strong
- Hostel & Food Quality: Hostels are livable but maintenance and mess food can be inconsistent.
- Location Limitation: Being in Haldia (a bit away from Kolkata), access to the city’s resources, internships, and industrial exposure can be limited.

From the 7th semester students are elligible for placement and they also get high pakages . Companies like camgemini , cognizent , tcs , infosysis, Tech mahindra,viston,HPL often come for placement. Students more than 80 npercent are getting placed.

- The best thing of this College u will get bigger campus non of the other private College have that much of campus area in west bengal

- U disliked the environment means u in west bengal people mostly follow bengali rituals
- Their hectic curriculum . Means teacher teach u nicely but didn't want because of hectic timings issue
- I most dislike in this college is environment means you did not get different culture because most of the people come from in that college from Bihar Jharkhand Bengal and up you did not get different culture.

I am I am in the institute of technology I take admission there because of their placement ratio the average figures of this college is 526 lakh and their many companies comes almost hundred plus companies comes in years and the placement is you of last year 2023 and 81% more than the any private college in West Bengal from 3rd year students are eligible for campus placement highest package or average package if I talk about them highest package I haven't remember but you can see on the official website I think it is Truecaller or 4 crore average package I know it is 5 to 6 lakh

Haldia Institute of Technology is one of the largest residential engineering institutes in West Bengal. It is spread over an area of 36.98 acres of land and has been ranked at 163 position by NIRF ranking. The college is also accredited with A grade by NAAC
Courses:
The college offers various courses- B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA and MCA with a number of specialisations. The college offers B.Tech in CE, CSE, ECE, ME, IT, EE, Biotech and in many other specialisations and M.Tech in ECE, CSE, CE, ME and Biotechnology. The college has also offered new courses for B.Tech in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and cyber security. Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Chemical Engineering are top departments.
Placements:
As per the data of batch 2017-18, 72% students were placed and around 140 companies visited the campus for placements. Some of the top recruiters were Wipro, Infosys, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd, Nestle, Adani Wilmar etc.
Fest:
The college also organises annual cultural fest “Riviera” and annual Techno Management fest- Prayukti”. A lot of competitions and events are held during the fest and different colleges participate in the same.
