Ques. What subjects are covered in Diploma in ECE at JPNCE?
Ans. The Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering at JPNCE follows the SBTET-TS curriculum, covering subjects including Electronic Circuits, Digital Electronics, Communication Systems, Microprocessors and Microcontrollers, Embedded Systems, Signals and Systems, Mobile Communication, Consumer Electronics, Industrial Electronics, and Electronic Measurements across six semesters over three years.
Ques. What career options are available after Diploma in ECE from JPNCE?
Ans. Diploma in ECE graduates can work as electronics technicians, telecom field engineers, mobile tower maintenance technicians, PCB assembly operators, automation assistants, and broadcast equipment operators in telecom companies, cable TV operators, electronics manufacturers, and government departments. Junior Engineer examinations in electronics for state and central government are also accessible with a polytechnic diploma.
Ques. Can Diploma in ECE holders apply for B.Tech lateral entry?
Ans. Yes. Diploma holders in ECE or Electronics Engineering can apply for B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering through the lateral entry route under TG ECET, entering directly into the second year. TG ECET is conducted annually by TSCHE and accepts diploma holders from all SBTET-TS recognised polytechnic programmes in the relevant engineering discipline.

SC, ST, BC, OBC, and EBC students domiciled in Telangana may apply for the Post-Matric Scholarship through epass.telangana.gov.in, which can cover the full fee based on family income eligibility.
Ques. Is TS POLYCET compulsory and what happens if I missed the counselling?
Ans. TS POLYCET rank is the standard criterion for admission to all diploma programmes at JPNCE. Direct admission without a rank is not allowed for regular seats. If candidates missed Phase 1 and Phase 2 counselling, they could apply through the Spot Admission Round held July 1-8, 2026 at SBTET-TS designated centres for unfilled seats across Telangana polytechnics.
