Ques. Which B.Tech branches are eligible for ME at MAMCE?
Ans. Eligibility varies by ME specialization. ME CSE requires BE/B.Tech in Computer Science or IT. ME Environmental Engineering requires Civil or Environmental branches. ME Manufacturing Engineering requires Mechanical or Production branches. ME Power Electronics and Drives requires Electrical or Electronics branches. All require minimum 50% marks from a recognised university.
Ques. Is GATE score mandatory for ME admission at MAMCE?
Ans. No. Admission is primarily through TANCET 2026 score and CEAP counselling. GATE qualifiers can also apply and additionally become eligible for the AICTE PG scholarship of INR 12,400 per month. Management quota seats may be available without TANCET or GATE scores.
Ques. How much is the AICTE PG scholarship for ME students at MAMCE?
Ans. GATE qualifiers admitted to full-time ME at MAMCE are eligible for INR 12,400 per month under the AICTE PG scholarship scheme throughout the 2-year programme. The annual ME fee is only INR 30,000, so the scholarship more than covers the course cost. Apply via the AICTE portal after joining.
Ques. Is ME from MAMCE accepted for PhD admissions at IITs or universities?
Ans. Yes. An Anna University ME degree meets the eligibility requirement for PhD admissions at most Indian universities, including IITs under direct or part-time schemes. Graduates with strong academic records may also apply for PhD at Anna University or funded research positions through GATE-qualified fellowships.

Ans. TANCET 2026 results were declared on May 22, 2026. CEAP counselling for ME/M.Tech is expected in June-July 2026. Register at cfa.annauniv.edu and monitor official Anna University notifications for the counselling schedule. Management quota admissions are handled directly by MAMCE.
