Modern Institute of Engineering and Technology Hooghly B.Tech {Lateral} Civil Engineering: Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Ans. Candidates must hold a 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent from WBSCTE or a recognised board with at least 45% aggregate marks, or a B.Sc degree with Mathematics from a recognised university with 45% aggregate. A valid JELET 2026 rank from WBJEEB is mandatory. Admission is through centralised WBJEEB counselling at wbjeeb.wb.gov.in.

Ans. The total fee for the 3-year, six-semester programme is INR 2,45,000. Semester 1 is INR 45,000, inclusive of a one-time Other Charges component of INR 5,000. Each of the remaining five semesters is INR 40,000. Fees are paid semester-wise as per the college payment schedule.

Ans. WBJEEB conducts centralised counselling for JELET-qualified candidates. Candidates register at wbjeeb.wb.gov.in, upload diploma marksheets, and fill in institute and branch preferences. Seats are allotted based on JELET rank and preference order. No separate application to MIET Hooghly is needed once a seat is allotted and the acceptance fee is paid.
