Admission is merit-based using Class 10 marks with no separate entrance examination since 2024.

Candidates must register and apply through the WBSCTVESD portal at scvtwb.in.

Eligibility Criteria

Passed Class 10 (Madhyamik) or equivalent from a recognised board with at least 35% aggregate marks.

Must have studied Physical Science (Physics and Chemistry) and Mathematics in Class 10 as required by WBSCTVESD.

Admission through the WBSCTVESD Common Admission Portal at scvtwb.in based on Class 10 merit without any written entrance test.

Admission Process

Upload scanned copies of Class 10 marksheet and certificate as required by the portal.

Check the WBSCTVESD merit list declared on August 25, 2026 and verify rank and category.

Fill and lock institute and branch preferences during the choice filling window from August 26 to 30, 2026.

Check the seat allotment result and report to MIET Hooghly with original documents within the reporting deadline.
