Government College of Engineering Keonjhar Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Placement scenario is good and after 6th semester you are eligible to sit on campus placement and if You have 60 percentage in 10th, 12th and graduation then you are good to go. Vedantu, Adani ports, Tata steel, JSW etc are among the good companies which come for placement. The average package is 300000 and highest package is up to 1600000. More than 60% to 70% students gets placed each year in the college. I am planning to do m.tech after the college.

from seventh sem onwards student become eligible fr campus placements. we try for off campus placements like tcs,infosys,cozentus,tech mahindra,incture ,cognizant,hexaware with average package ranging from three to four lakhs

From 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Companies such as Aditya Birla, Rungta steels Ltd, idfco, Vedanta,tata steels, Adani , coal India etc. visit our college each year for placements. Each year nearly 40% of students gets placed in the placement sections. After getting degree is should do my mtech.

From 3rd year you are eligible for the campus placements if you have no backlogs then it is easier. Most companies visit us because of the reputation of the college Like imfa, rungta steel,optcl,nalco,tata etc. A minimum 75% of students get placed every year..and off-campus is also available. My plan is to be placed in a good company. After my degree, the minimum rank I require first is a junior engineer.

There is 100% placement in Mining Branch of this college. Facilities are less. If Government focus on the Faculties of this college then this college gonna rock. Actually , Faculties are quite good. Only problem of this college is the Principal. He is not doing well ????. Exams are little difficult and it happens time to time.

Placement is also offered in every year.from seven semester students became eligible for campus placements. There are different types of companies visit our college like Vedanta. I have planned for joining in a vedanta campus

The Placement in this college is good compared to another state government college in Odisha. After 6th semester the Placement is coming. Many Company is visiting for the Campus Placement like ADANI GROUP, TECH-MAHINDRA, TCS, TATA POWER, VEDANTA, INFOSYS, WIPRO, etc. The average package is 300000/year & the highest Placement this year is 900000/year. There are 180 students placed in various Companies & it is increasing every year.

Placement in our college is about average. Mainly the startup companies come for placement and the average salary expectation is about 3-4 lakhs per annum but on the positive side, more than 85 percent of students get placed in our college. After my degree, I am looking out for companies like tcs, Microsoft, Dell, and HP.

I had chosen CSE because I feel it's my passion. The course is as per the BPUT syllabus. But in here in my college, we only have 2 permanent teachers in the entire department. With all the rest being local contractual teachers, who just care about finishing the course. In some cases, they don't even finish the course, and they're just okay with it because they know that there's no one above them to question them.

Placements are not that much good in our college. It's better for mining students as this college is special in mining engineering. The mining engineering students get good packages and placement. The average package for mining students is 9 lakhs. For other branch students, it varies from 2 lakhs to 3 lakhs per annum. Companies- Adani, Tata Power, JSW, Vedanta, Tech Mahindra, etc.
