RBU Nagpur Admission Dates 2026

Admissions for the 2026-27 academic session are anchored by MHT-CET 2026 and JEE Main 2026. MHT-CET 2026 was conducted in May 2026 and Maharashtra state B.Tech counselling (CAP rounds) runs from July through October 2026. Late-stage allotments and institute-level direct admissions are ongoing as of September 2026.

B.Tech CSE carries the highest fee at INR 12.70 Lakhs total for four years. Core engineering branches (Civil, Electrical, ECE, Mechanical) are the most affordable B.Tech options at INR 9.01 Lakhs. M.Tech fees are among the most cost-effective at INR 2.85 to 3.41 Lakhs for two years.

RBU Nagpur Admission Process

B.Tech Admission

B.Tech admission at RBU Nagpur requires a valid score in MHT-CET, JEE Main, or RUBEE (Ramdeobaba University’s own entrance exam, a 90-minute online test covering PCM at Class 12 level). Candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories).

Seat allotment for 60% of seats follows the Maharashtra Centralised Admission Process (CAP) through MHT-CET percentile. The remaining 40% (institute-level seats) are filled through RUBEE or direct merit admission via JEE Main percentile. CAP rounds typically run through three allotment rounds: a provisional allotment round, a second round, and a final floating round, before institute-level direct admissions begin. Candidates allotted in CAP must report to the Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) within the stipulated window to confirm seats. MHT-CET 98 percentile or above, or JEE Main 95 percentile or above, qualifies candidates for merit-based scholarship at the time of admission.

MHT-CET closing percentile for B.Tech CSE at RBU has historically ranged from the 95 to 99 percentile band for General Category. Research scholars are required to publish in peer-reviewed journals as a programme requirement before thesis submission.
