Admission

I gave CAT exam and gave interview to get selected. It was in February 2015 and my admission mail was sent on April after that all financial steps were taken to confirm admission. Then there was induction and orientation program before our regular classes started.

College management is very good. Infrastructure of college is main advantage and city is main disadvantage for campus placement. Faculties are good. Students come from different culture under one roof and learn life experiences there in college campus.

Placement Experience

9/10

The college achieves above 90% Placement policy and has been doing better and better every year. Companies that are brought in for the recruitment process are also increasing and a better reach has been achieved. The average package revolves around 8L this year with more than 70% of the batch already placed, with the target of placing all the students. The summer internship program starts from 2nd year, 4th term, which is mandatory for all the students, and companies start to visit the college from the month of October and the processes go on till all the students are placed.

Remarks

I chose to attend this college because of several reasons: 1) I was able to see how involved the institute kept their students in processes as crucial as the admission process as well as Placement processes. 2) Environment at the college gives you the buzz of MBA life, you'd find yourself running errands at the oddest hours, and I feel that's what MBA is about, everything from fun to work here keeps you involved and makes you find a balance and teaches you how to manage multiple things. 3) Admission processes were convenient and the flow was maintained by the students only, that too of the first year. It was easygoing and a little different as they gave you a group task which I didn't come across in other college's admission processes. 4) it's been a year almost since I have joined this institute and I feel much more evolved and confident.

Placement Experience

7/10

Placements are good if we look at on ROI basis. The average package is around 6-7 lakh and the highest package is 16 lakh. year by year more and more companies visiting campus and taking part in the recruiting process. The median package is 5.5 lakh. If you perform good in college, competitions, and your profile suits the recruiter, you might get a good placement. In the starting years, salary doesn't matter, if you get a chance to work in a big company, then your life is set.

Remarks

Student-driven college and seasoned marketing faculty. Location was good and 50-80 company participate in the placements. Student-run business ventures, committee and forum also play important roles in the individual's development (it is a personal opinion).

Remarks

One of the best colleges in my locality. When I cleared my 12th I searched about many colleges and at the end I thought ITMN will be best sutaible for me. My elders also suggested and supported me to take addimision in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course that I joined was a specialised course in management and the course helped me very much in reaching my goals. Many says only loosers take commerce field but when we join that field we come to know that other than only CA or BBA there are also many big and best courses in commerce field and out of those I selected BBA and after completing it I continued to MBA in marketing and I am sure that till 2022 I will reach my goal and become something in my future.

Ques. How good is IMT Nagpur? What about average salary offered? And CAT cutoff percentile?

● Top Answer By Mukul Parashar on 30 Mar 21

Ans. IMT Nagpur is not a premier B-school, and it is not in the race of being one. IMT Nagpur is not a better choice for learning and growth opportunities.  Among the institutes under the brand of IMT, only IMT Ghaziabad stands in a different league compared to all other groups of colleges. Cutoff: According to the recent trends, the required CAT cutoff for IMT Nagpur is around 80 percentile. Ranks below that are also converted considering the number of candidates is around 2 lakh. Which is not great.  Placements: According to the recent placement highlights, the average CTC for IMT Nagpur is around 6.5 LPA. Last year the highest CTC was 23.70 LPA.  Despite what the placement statistics say, the institute lacks to offer decent placements. And there will be quite a few unplaced students in the campus placement. So, it will be better if you don’t keep IMT Nagpur as an option.Read more

Ques. How is IMT Nagpur?

● Top Answer By Sethuparvathy S on 18 Mar 21

Ans. There are several aspects about the current condition of IMT Nagpur, which is a lot different from the past records and should be considered by a candidate before choosing the institute for an MBA degree. The points listed below give a brief overview of the present condition of the institute. Course Fee: The overall fees for a PGDM course of 2 years at IMT Nagpur is 12 Lakhs, which is quite expensive considering the average placement packages offered. Location: The institute is located 25-30 km far away from Nagpur city.  For communication, only a limited number of public transport vehicles is available. Placements: Talking about the placement of IMT Nagpur, the overall placement scenario is pretty good, with a decent placement percentage.  The CTC offered by companies generally varies from Rs. 6.75 LPA to Rs. 17 LPA. Reputation: The overall standard of IMT Nagpur has degraded over the years. It is in no way as good as it was 4-5 years back.  The placements, faculty structure, campus facility standards, etc have decreased over the years. So, it is not a smart investment to spend Rs. 12 Lakhs for an MBA of 2 years from IMT Nagpur, considering the return on investment. These are some points related to the present condition of IMT Nagpur, which is decent considering the placement, but not a very good option due to high fees and degrading standards.Read more

Ques. Is IMT Nagpur worth joining in terms of placements, etc.?

● Top Answer By Sandhya R on 18 Mar 21

Ans. In IMT Nagpur, the placement for PGDM (MBA) is decent. It offers pan-India jobs to students with an overall good average salary package. The table below gives a brief overview of the institute. Average Salary Offered Rs. 6 LPA Highest Salary Offered Rs. 16 LPA Total Fees (PGDM) Rs. 12 Lakhs Cut-off (PGDM) CAT- 85 percentile CMAT- 80 percentile Placements: There are several reviews on the internet with huge figures about salary packages in placement from IMT Nagpur. The truth is, the average package is around Rs. 6 LPA, with very few students getting offers more than Rs. 9 LPA package.  Big MNCs visit the campus for placement.  Campus Life: The college campus and hostels are overall decent, with all the necessary facilities on campus. There is a decent crowd inside the campus for studies and healthy learning, with a proper gender mix among students. Faculties: During the course, few good guest faculties offer lectures to students in IMT Nagpur. Weather: The weather of Nagpur may not be suitable for students. So, students need to get accustomed to the climatic conditions, before choosing to spend their 2 years at IMT Nagpur. Overall, in terms of placement and other facilities, IMT Nagpur can be a good enough choice for students, as evident from the points listed above.Read more

Ques. Can you please rank these B-schools: IBS Hyderabad, IMI Kolkata, IMT Nagpur, Bimtech (PGDM IB Course), SIMS Pune, Amity Noida?

● Top Answer By Harshavardhan Babu on 07 Feb 21

Ans. Many coaching institutes publish many different rankings of B schools across the country every year based on several different parameters. Which in most situations aren’t reliable and trustworthy. But the Times ranking or Career Launcher ranking is more realistic and based on practical parameters. According to these rankings, the preference order of the institutes is as follows.  SIMS Pune (Symbiosis tag, good average package) IMT N (IMT tag and brand value, good placement, good faculty, and campus life) IMI K (Decent placement) BIMTECH (Location factor) Amity Noida (Brand value, beautiful campus) IBS H (More number of students, only location advantage) The table below gives a brief overview of the institutes in the question. Institution  Average CTC  Course Fee SIMS Pune 9.2 LPA 9.20 lakhs IMT N 7.94 LPA 12.1 lakhs IMI K 10.25 LPA 12.41 lakhs BIMTECH 8.13 LPA 12 lakhs Amity Noida 4.5 LPA 6.80 lakhs IBS H 7.97 LPA 14.04 lakhs This list and ranking are unbiased based solely on reasons that are practical, realistic, and are only facts combined with different student reviews.Read more

Hi Amit, if you want to pursue PGDM right after your B.Tech, then IMT Nagpur is a decent choice. However, we would suggest you gain some work experience (preferably 2-3 years) and appear for MBA entrance exams again to have a shot at better colleges.
