Ans. The programme covers library organisation and management, cataloguing and classification using DDC and AACR2, reference services and information sources, library legislation, information and communication technology in libraries, digital library management, and bibliometrics. Students also carry out practical sessions in the college library and visit external library institutions for exposure.

Ans. The total fee for the one-year programme is Rs 30,333, paid at the time of admission. SC, ST, OBC, and EBC students are eligible for government scholarship and freeship concessions processed through the Maharashtra DBT portal at mahadbtmahait.gov.in after admission.

Ans. Any candidate holding a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university is eligible. There is no minimum aggregate percentage requirement, though admission is merit-based and seats fill on merit. Ans. Yes. The Library Science department at Abasaheb Garware College started M.Lib.I.Sc in 2009. Students who complete B.Lib.I.Sc with a first class grade can apply for M.Lib.I.Sc at the same campus. The department is one of the few in Pune to offer both UG and PG library science under an autonomous framework.
