Ques. What is the CAT cutoff for MDI Gurgaon PGDM shortlisting?
Ans. MDI Gurgaon’s official minimum CAT percentile for PGDM shortlisting is 95 overall. However, based on past patterns, General category candidates typically need a score of 97 percentile or higher to receive an interview call. The shortlisting formula assigns 70% weight to CAT score, 20% to academic performance across school and graduation, and 10% to work experience. There are no sectional cutoffs specified by MDI for PGDM shortlisting.
Ques. Is work experience required for MDI Gurgaon PGDM?
Ans. Work experience is not mandatory for MDI PGDM admission. However, it carries 10% weight in the Stage 1 shortlisting criteria, which means experienced candidates gain a measurable advantage in the process. Freshers can and do receive admission, particularly if their CAT score and academic profile across Class X, XII, and graduation are consistently strong.
