PCTE Group of Institutes Admission Dates 2027

Admissions for the 2026-27 academic session at PCTE have concluded. Punjab technical and management counselling through IKGPTU wrapped up by August 2026. The next admission cycle for the 2027-28 intake opens after JEE Main and CUET results are declared in April to May 2027.

For MBA and BBA, PCTE follows a rolling admission model accepting MAT, CMAT, and ATMA scores throughout the year. Direct applications can be submitted through the PCTE portal for management and commerce programmes.

PCTE Group of Institutes Courses and Fees

PCTE Group of Institutes offers over 30 programmes at UG, PG, and doctoral levels across five constituent institutes. The fee range spans from INR 1.46 Lakhs to INR 4.20 Lakhs total for most UG programmes.

PCTE also offers M.Tech programmes in CSE, AI and Data Science, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering at INR 1.51 Lakhs total (2 years). Ph.D. programmes across Engineering and Sciences are available at INR 1.51 Lakhs total per programme.

B.Tech Admission

B.Tech admission at PCTE follows the IKGPTU centralised counselling route. Eligible candidates register for Punjab state counselling after JEE Main results are declared in April to May each year.

• Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) and minimum 45% aggregate (40% for reserved categories)
• Entrance: Valid JEE Main score or IKGPTU Entrance Test score
• Process: Online counselling registration, choice filling, seat allotment, document verification, fee payment
• Lateral Entry: Diploma holders may apply through LEET (Punjab) for direct admission to Year 2

PCTE B.Tech seats are distributed across CSE, AI and Machine Learning, Civil, Mechanical, Biotechnology, Food Technology, and Agricultural Engineering. The CSE branch typically attracts the highest demand among applicants.

MBA and BBA Admission

MBA admission accepts MAT, CMAT, ATMA, and CAT scores. Candidates holding valid scores can apply directly to PCTE and are shortlisted for group discussion and personal interview rounds.

• Eligibility for MBA: Any graduation with minimum 50% marks
• Eligibility for BBA and B.Com: 10+2 any stream with minimum 45% marks
• Process for BBA: Merit-based or CUET UG score, followed by direct admission

B.Pharm and D.Pharm Admission

Pharmacy admissions are governed by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) guidelines and the Punjab state pharmacy counselling process.

• Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics with minimum 45% marks
• Entrance: PUCET (Punjab University Common Entrance Test) or CUET UG or merit-based admission

Hospitality, Journalism, Fashion Design and Tourism

BHMCT, BTTM, BJMC, and Fashion Design programmes admit candidates through merit in 10+2 marks. CUET UG score is also accepted. Minimum eligibility is 10+2 from any stream with 45% aggregate marks.

PCTE Group of Institutes Placements

PCTE Group of Institutes conducts annual campus placement drives across its constituent institutes. The 2024-25 placement season recorded a highest package of INR 27 LPA for B.Tech and INR 14 LPA for MBA. Average packages stood at INR 6 to 7 LPA across engineering and management streams.

Key recruiters participating in campus drives include Wipro, Accenture, HCL, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, and HUL. Hotel management graduates are placed with Marriott, Hyatt, ITC Hotels, and Oberoi group properties. PCTE Group of Institutes Rankings

PCTE Group of Institutes does not appear in NIRF rankings. The group has received recognition from India Today and Outlook in select programme categories.

The Hotel Management and Fashion Design programmes hold stronger category rankings than Engineering, reflecting the institute’s historical strength in hospitality and design education.

PCTE Group of Institutes Campus and Infrastructure

PCTE Group of Institutes is spread across two campuses in Ludhiana, housing five constituent institutes. The main campus is at Baddowal, Ferozepur Road, Ludhiana, on the outskirts of the city with direct road access to the GT Road and Chandigarh highway.

Campus facilities include separate hostels for boys and girls. Girls hostel annual fees range from INR 46,800 to 87,600 depending on room type. The campus houses dedicated blocks for Engineering, Pharmacy, Hotel Management, and Management institutes, each with subject-specific laboratories and studios. The Hotel Management institute has a fully equipped training kitchen and a mock front-desk setup. The Fashion Design block includes design studios and a garment production lab.

The campus supports Wi-Fi connectivity, a central library with digital access, a sports complex, and a student activity centre. Ludhiana city centre is roughly 15 kilometres from the Baddowal campus.
