Placement Experience :

Students are eligible for placements from 6 semesters with summer internships in 2 year and many products based and decent service based companies come to campus like amazon, zs associates, Flipkart, snapdeal, dxe, nagaro, Yamaha motors, TCS with digital profile and ninja profile. Almost all students placed approx 95% and the highest package is amazon 28 lacs and average package of 5-6 lac of all branches and cse average package is 7-8 lacs

Remarks :

Hello, I joined usict IP main campus cse branch in 2020. I joined this college because it has very less fees, a decent location and good infrastructure. Good aspects: Its fees are very less just 320000 for four years and being in Delhi you get a lot of exposure and internship opportunities and there are only 180 students in three branches it,cse, ece. It is the top college under IP university. Placements are average to decent with some good companies coming like amazon, snapdeal, Flipkart, ZS associates. The average package of cse this year is 7-8 lakhs. our peer group is equal to dtu electrical peer group Bad aspects The administration needs major changes they are too slow in many things and the Placement cell is inactive but they are improving slowly. And some of the lack of facilities like labs need to be renovated. etc Admission process I got 31 k rank in jee mains 2020 and got cse in the spot round. If you are the general rank of 33 k is sufficient for cse,39k for it and 47 k for ece.

Avg placement is 5-6 lpa. Company like Infosys, Accenture, Paytm nagrro, TCS (mass recruiter) etc. there is placement department which manager placement activity. Highest package offer in 2019 is 28 lpa at Amazon AWS. Alumni job referral is quite low. Because no of students in Engineering passed every year is 240-300 only

Remarks :

USICT is one of the best engineering colleges in Delhi. It offers CSE, IT and ECE course, and is the best amongst all the colleges in IPU. It is present in the main campus of IP University. Some of the most reputed companies in IT recruit students from here. Companies like Samsung, Amazon, Axtria, TCS etc came for placement during my time. Almost all the students got placed with an average CTC of 4L.The curriculum is extensive. All the subjects that a student in that particular course should know are covered very well. The faculty is well experienced and I learnt a lot of them.

Remarks :

The management is extremely slow and 'sarkari' about their jobs, having absolutely 0 respect for students or what the problems they're facing. The WIFI of our hostel has been not working for a full year of some floors, and even after multiple complaints, no action has been taken. There are literally dozens of complaints I can write but I'd rather not, it's too frustrating. 2/10 for management.

Remarks :

It's a decent college if your plan is to prepare for a higher education opportunity, and if financial affordability is a priority to you. The fee structure is very much feasible and the lax attendance system allows you to easily find the time to indulge in something else. But if engineering is your dream, and you want to study in an environment that fans the flame for a more profound interest in the field then this is not the place for you.

Ques. Which is better, CSE in MAIT or IT in USICT?

● Top Answer By Keshav Jindal on 23 Apr 21

Ans. Both USICT and MAIT have an attractive campus. They also provide special USS benefits to the students.  One of my relatives used to be a student of USICT. In spite of being a student of that institute, he holds both institutes in high regard. A lot of students come from distant places and traveling gets time-consuming. Before you choose your institute, make sure you keep the distance factor in mind because you might very well be spending several hours. This can be detrimental to you and other students who will take pains to reach the institute. Four years is not a short time, after all. As for placements, you will be allowed to sit in for companies at IP University’s main entrance if you meet the requirements of eligibility and if your aggregate cut-off meets the requirements. CSE in MAIT will give you a lot of opportunities to learn and grow. The department is also very supportive. The package you will get would be pretty decent if you are not really on the core technical side. Your expertise will determine the package you will be offered. The seniors and faculty will guide you in that regard.Read more

The tabulation below gives a quick overview of both the Institutes. Particulars USICT MAIT (IPU) Courses offered BTech+MTech, MTech, MCA, B.Voc, PhD BTech, MBA Entrance exam IPU CET, GATE JEE, CET, CAT Average package 4.5-5.0 LPA 4.95 LPA Highest package 12 LPA 28 LPA Placement rate 75% 80-90% Campus: USICT: USICT has an incredible picturesque campus with good infrastructure. Wifi facilities, gymnasium, basketball court, well-equipped labs, canteens, separate hostels for boys and girls, libraries with thousands of international standard books are few amenities that are offered. MAIT: Spread across 10 acres of land, MAIT infrastructure is split into 9 blocks, each of which is designated for specific branches including one block for freshers. AC auditorium with 2k+ capacity, indoor sports complex, canteen, outdoor sports ground, hostels, well-equipped labs are few among the list of amenities offered at MAIT. Placement Statistics: USICT: Around 150 large to medium-sized companies participate in campus recruitment every year. Infosys and Cognizant made maximum offers in 2019 wherein 500+ students were recruited on campus. Both MAIT and USICT are similar institutes in terms of the given parameters, offering amazing infrastructure and curriculum. MAIT slightly holds superiority in terms of placement. The Institute even has a tremendous alumni network. It must be even noted that MAIT is quite lenient regarding attendance and entering or leaving the college premises. MAIT encompasses a better crowd, thanks to MAIMS. MAIT offers great cultural events and supports its students in extracurricular activities. Whereas cultural fests are rare at USICT. On the other hand, USICT being a public institute will be better as its tuition fee is much lower. In the end, it's up to the aspirant to decide what is best for them.Read more
