PHCET Admission Process
PHCET follows DTE Maharashtra’s centralised CAP process for BE admissions. 85% of seats are reserved for the Maharashtra state quota. The remaining seats are available for candidates from other states and NRI candidates, as per the DTE Maharashtra norms.
BE Admission
Candidates must have a non-zero score in either MHT-CET PCM or JEE Main to qualify for the DTE Maharashtra Engineering CAP. The eligibility criteria are:
- 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects
- Chemistry or Biotechnology or Technical Vocational subject as the third subject
- Minimum 45% aggregate in 10+2 for general category
- Non-zero positive score in MHT-CET or JEE Main
- Maharashtra domicile for state quota seats (85%)
The selection process follows: MHT-CET or JEE Main qualification, DTE Maharashtra CAP registration, document verification, option filling, allotment, and reporting to PHCET. After CAP rounds close, vacant seats may be filled directly by the college.
BE Lateral Entry Admission
Diploma holders from AICTE-approved polytechnics in relevant engineering branches are eligible for direct second-year BE admission. Allotment is through the DTE Maharashtra DSY Engineering CAP based on diploma aggregate marks.
ME and MCA Admission
ME admissions require a GATE score or MAH-ME CET score, with eligibility of a relevant BE or B.Tech degree. MCA admissions require graduation with Mathematics and a valid MAH-MCA CET score. Both are processed through state-level centralised counselling.
PHCET Placements
PHCET’s placement cell reports the highest package at INR 7.5 LPA and an average package of INR 4.5 LPA for engineering graduates. The placement drive covers Computer Engineering, IT, and Electronics branches primarily, with companies from IT services, embedded systems, and manufacturing sectors visiting the campus.
