Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold a B.Tech/BE or B.Sc. degree in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or an allied life-science or engineering stream from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate of 50 percent (45 percent for Karnataka SC/ST candidates). Final-year students may apply provisionally.

Admission requires a valid GATE 2026 score (BT or related paper) or Karnataka PGCET 2026 rank (kea.kar.nic.in). GATE-qualified candidates do not need to appear for PGCET but must register for KEA counselling to claim a government-quota seat.

Admission Process

Register for KEA online counselling at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in when Round 1 opens in July 2026; both GATE and PGCET candidates must register.
