GMRIT Admission Dates 2026

GMRIT B.Tech 2026-27 admissions are driven by AP EAPCET results and APSCHE web counselling, which is ongoing as of August 2026. M.Tech admissions through APSCHE for GATE and AP PGECET candidates are also in progress, with Phase 2 counselling expected in September 2026.

GMRIT Courses and Fees

GMRIT offers 25 programmes across B.Tech, B.Tech Lateral, and M.Tech. B.Tech fees vary by branch, with technology-intensive branches (CSE, AI, ECE, IT) priced higher than core engineering disciplines (Civil, Mechanical, Chemical). M.Tech fees are uniform across all specialisations at INR 1.54 Lakhs for two years.

Hostel fees at GMRIT are INR 99,000 per year for both Boys and Girls hostels. Adding hostel to a 4-year B.Tech: total residential cost ranges from INR 10.53 Lakhs (core branches + hostel) to INR 16.53 Lakhs (IT + hostel). Over 69% of B.Tech students qualify for full tuition fee reimbursement through the AP government scheme, significantly reducing the net outflow.

GMRIT Admission Process

GMRIT B.Tech admissions follow the AP EAPCET route for 70% of seats, with the remaining 30% filled through management quota (Category B). The management quota is split equally between NRI and non-NRI candidates. All candidates require a minimum of 45% in 10+2 PCM.

B.Tech Admission (Category A - EAPCET Route)

• Register for AP EAPCET at the official exam portal and appear for the test.
• Use the AP EAPCET rank to participate in APSCHE B.Tech web counselling at cets.apsche.ap.gov.in.
• Enter GMRIT as a preferred college and branch during the APSCHE web option entry round.
• Seat allotment is based entirely on AP EAPCET rank and candidate preferences. No separate interview is conducted by GMRIT for Category A seats.
• AP EAPCET 2024 cutoff reference: General category ranks ranged from 8,495 to 1,01,948 across branches, with CSE being the most competitive branch at GMRIT.

B.Tech Admission (Category B - Management Quota)

GMRIT reserves 30% of B.Tech seats as management quota, equally split between NRI (15%) and non-NRI (15%) candidates. Minimum eligibility is 45% in 10+2 PCM. Candidates apply directly to the GMRIT admissions office at gmrit.edu.in. NRI candidates must submit sponsoring NRI relative documents and a financial undertaking.

M.Tech and Lateral Entry Admission

M.Tech admissions require a valid GATE or AP PGECET score, with APSCHE conducting separate counselling rounds for each. Lateral entry B.Tech requires an AP ECET score and is also processed through APSCHE counselling. Minimum eligibility for M.Tech is a relevant B.Tech degree with 50% aggregate (45% for reserved categories).

GMRIT Placements

GMRIT placements for the 2025 batch recorded an average CTC of INR 4.55 LPA with a highest offer of INR 40 LPA. Over 90 companies participated in the placement drive and the batch achieved a 95% placement rate. CSE, AI, ECE, and IT branches account for the majority of campus placement offers. Core engineering branches including Mechanical, Civil, and EEE see a mix of campus placements and GATE-based higher studies pathways.

Key recruiters at GMRIT include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, and Amazon.
