Ans. B.E. Lateral Entry at Vemana IT is a 3-year programme for diploma holders who enter directly at the second year of B.E. Regular B.E. is a 4-year programme starting from the first year. The lateral route grants the same VTU B.E. degree with one year less of study time. Admission is through Karnataka DCET only, not through KCET or COMEDK UGET.

Ans. The total fee for KCET lateral quota at Vemana IT is INR 3,89,370 for three years (INR 1,29,790 per year). COMEDK lateral quota students pay INR 7,16,370 for the same three years. The same fee structure applies to all six B.E. Lateral Entry branches. Hostel and other charges are billed separately.
Ques. Which diploma branches are eligible for B.E. Lateral Entry at Vemana IT?
Ans. Diploma holders in relevant engineering disciplines can apply for each corresponding B.E. branch at Vemana IT. CSE and ISE lateral entry typically accept diplomas in Computer Science or Information Science. ECE accepts diplomas in Electronics or Communication Engineering.
