We have a total of 8 professors and 3 lab assistants in the computer science department. There are 75 students, so roughly the student and faculty ratio is 10:1. Also, there is a mentorship facility in this college in every department. There are 2 groups of 5 students each, who are being mentored by a professor. So you'll experience the project works and overall study very well. There are 2 internal exams and a final semester exam in each semester. You don't have to worry about passing those exams as long as you are attending classes and studying regularly. You don't have to study all day, there is also cricket, football, volleyball, badminton play grounds there. You can play these games with your seniors and classmates as well. Most of the students play at least one of these games in the evening after all the classes have finished.
This college is new.It requires some more infrastructure and more campusing facility. Some more extracurricular activities are needed. May be it needs just some more time to become one of the best govt. Engineering colleges of west bengal.
Being a state run institution the fee is quite feasible. For my course the tution fee is 1000rs per month. Besides these there are some one time payments that are to be made at the time of admission which totals upto 6000rs. The payments is done by demand draft issued by any nationalised bank.
The college is affiliated to MAKAUT, the state's technological university. It follows AICTE curriculum. The syllabus is provided by the state university. Apart from the various assignments and projects the final assessment is done through end- semester examinations conducted by the University.
The course syllabus is good, in details taught by our faculties. They guide us in every possible ways, help us whenever we need, give notes to us, and performs doubt clearing classes on a regular basis. Faculties such as Mr. Sushovan Chatterjee, Mr. Sourish Sanyal, Mr. Gautam Das are mentionworthy.
Our syllabus is updated, based on MAKAUT guidelines. Yes, we have enough equipments in Lab. (Things are improving as I said.)Faculty members of Civil dept. are better than average. If I had to choose according to classes, Biren Gurung sir is great.
There are 5 branches in CGEC namely ME, EE, ECE, CS&Civil, and in all branches well-qualified professors with great experience of teaching in their respective fields. The professors are helpful and friendly in nature and maximum are m.tech or Ph.D. degree holders. Coming to my branch, I belong to the department of mechanical engineering and in my department, there are almost 6-7 faculty currently including to new one who has recently joined CGEC in addition to that some part -time faculty also come from time to time to take the class if needed. The semester exam is held timely and it is a moderate level type exam
I am doing my b.tech in mechanical engineering department. Our university has updated the syllabus in the previous year and it is more updated. Our college has a big academic building and all the facilities are good. We have very talented and experienced profeesors, many of them are PhD. They teaches in a good way so that students can understand. All the facilities including workshop, practical materials, study materials are good. Profeesors are very friendly and trying so hard to get e good reputation of our college.
The fee structure is quite feasible since it's a government college. The fees for CSE & ECE dept each year is ‰â_16, 000 and for ME, CE, EE is ‰â_8, 000. So this range is easily affordable by anyone from any background. This fees is usually decided by the affiliated University of makaut.
The course curriculum in our college is designed by AICTE keeping track of mordern developments. So yes our syllabus are up to date with latest information and finest knowledge. The range of books covered are from foreign authors to Indian authors. Most of the books suggested by AICTE are latest versions which provide us with deep knowledge on each and every subject.
The college have 5 department ee,me,ece,cs,civil and some dept.is going to open soon, coming to facilities, they are well experienced and helpful the college also provide industrial internship program time to time in my dept.
The fee structure is very feasible and cheap, it can be easily afforded by poor and lower muddle class students. There is some caution money to be submitted at the very beginning. Plus, unless you are taking admission through mop up counselling rounds, you don't need to pay extra.
The course curriculum is really research driven and exam oriented, as is the case with other colleges under my university MAKAUT too. Frequent webinars androbotics workshops are conducted in the college all year round which further helps in grooming the students professionally.
