MRCDOE B.Com FAQs
Ques. Is the Manav Rachna Online B.Com degree valid for government jobs and higher studies like MBA or M.Com?
Ans. Yes, the B.Com (Online) from MRCDOE is fully approved by UGC-DEB, which means it holds the same academic validity as a regular on-campus B.Com degree. It is accepted for government and private sector jobs where a UGC-recognised degree is required. Graduates can also pursue postgraduate programmes like MBA, M.Com, or CA/CS/CMA after completing this degree, subject to the eligibility norms of the respective institution or exam.
Ques. I am a working professional. Can I manage the B.Com online programme alongside a full-time job?
Ans. Yes, the programme is specifically designed for working professionals. Live lectures are scheduled only on Fridays and Saturdays, and all recorded lectures, study materials, and e-books are available 24/7 on the LMS portal. Assignments and exams are conducted online, so there is no need to visit the campus at any point during the programme. Many students successfully balance this programme with full-time employment.
Ques. What is the difference between B.Com General and B.Com with ACCA at Manav Rachna Online?
Ans. The B.Com General programme covers core commerce subjects like accounting, taxation, finance, and business law. The B.Com with ACCA is a dual qualification programme where students simultaneously pursue the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK) certification alongside the B.Com degree. The ACCA track has a higher fee (Rs. 3,09,000 lump sum) and is suited for students targeting international accounting careers. The General B.Com is more affordable and suitable for those seeking a strong domestic commerce foundation.
Ques. What happens if I miss a live lecture? Are recordings available?
Ans. Yes, all live lectures are recorded and uploaded to the LMS portal, typically within a short time after the session. Students can access these recordings at any time through their student login. The LMS also provides e-books, quizzes, and case studies for self-paced learning. So missing an occasional live session does not mean missing out on the content, though attending live sessions is recommended for doubt-clearing and interaction with faculty.
Ques. How does the placement support work for online B.Com students at Manav Rachna?
Ans. MRCDOE provides placement assistance rather than guaranteed placements. This includes virtual placement drives with 200+ hiring partners (including companies like Deloitte, KPMG, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and others), career counselling sessions, resume-building workshops, and mock interview preparation. It is important to note that online students do not have access to the same structured campus placement drives as on-campus students. Proactive students who leverage the LMS, internship opportunities, and career support services tend to have better outcomes.
Ques. Can I get a scholarship for the B.Com online programme, and what is the MRO Quest test?
Ans. Yes, MRCDOE offers merit-based scholarships through the MRO Quest 2026 scholarship test. It is a 60-minute AI-proctored online test with 90 MCQs covering aptitude, reasoning, and English. Scoring 90% or above gives a 100% tuition fee waiver, 80-89% gives a 50% waiver, and 60-79% gives a 30% waiver. The test is scheduled for 24 May 2026. Additionally, students with strong 12th board marks (90% and above) can avail a 100% tuition fee waiver directly. All waivers apply on tuition fees only.
