Placement Experience :

MORE than 200 companies visits every year with average package of 4-5 lakes per annum( not satisfactory).Almost every student is placed under mass recruiting companies like WIPRO, TESLA etc. Some of the good companies visits like MICROSOFT, AMAZON with package above 15 lakhs but only few students get placed in those companies.

In 2020, till now,195 top companies have already visited the campus, both service and product based companies, the profile offered by most companies are Software Development Engineer (SDE)s, with 4379 job offers, the highest salary this year is Rs. 30 Lakh per annum. Around 3156 students are placed till now from a batch of 3500 students. The placement process in this university is similar to the placement process across all the colleges in India, with all rounds similar. The training and placement (TnP) cell of KIIT is very active and tries to bring in the best companies to our campus. Our alumni are placed in top companies across the globe and they easily give the job referrals to their deserving juniors. Archita Sahu,Dutee Chand, Babushaan Mohanty, Soumyadeep Bhattacharya, Debapratim Purkayastha are a few notable alumni of KIIT. The Entrepreneur Cell of KIIT is very active and they actively organize new events in order to encourage students to build up their own start ups.

Placement Experience :

I haven't been part of any placement drives, being but a second year. From what I have heard, I can tell you that the university provides you assistance and works with you to the end of the line for getting on-campus placements. If you want better placements than mass recruiters, you obviously can't depend upon just the university for that. The university provides you an environment, support and a basis to develop your skills upon. You need to put in the efforts to develop those skills to be useful to companies if you want them to hire you. They won't take a risk and hire a low-skilled student just because he/she comes from XX University.

Internships Opportunities :

I am trying to develop my skills and so I have been part of various paid internships(I am the one paying) under LinuxWorld Informatics Private Ltd. to get exposure to industry-level knowledge.
