The hostel facility is given according to your rank in the merit list. The number of seats in the hostel depends on your department as each department gets a fixed number of seats. 2 students reside in one hostel room. Also, in case the students fail to avail the hostel facility they have to opt for PGs which cost near about 4000rs per month ( without food), 10,000Rs with food
Yes, most of the rooms are shared by two residents though originally the rooms were made for and inhabited by single resident. Due to shortage of place and rising student strength, thode single rooms have been converted into twin sharing which causes problems like lack of space in rooms and queuing at washrooms as well. The condition of hostel rooms and washrooms is pathetic. Broken tiles and doors and dirt all over makes the stay in hostel horrible. The Hostel rent is approximately 6000 for one semester i. e. 1000 for a month. Seats at the hostels are limited, so students have to opt for PG which are expensive and distant from the university. Pg's charge 3000 to 8000 just as rent that is many a times than the hostel rent.
Campus life in University is quite an experience. University accommodates students from different backgrounds, cultures, religions, states, countries etc. Which makes the stay and study a learning experience at the university. Gender ratio varies from course to course, for eg. We have more boys in the physical Education department though the number of girls increase every year. And there are more girls in the fresh batches of integrated law courses. Another thing which is quite actively done in university is politics for the students council. Sports in university is at a good level and university does have appropriate and required resources for the same.
We organize Akhaada which is a national sports fest and many other fests mentioned above. The gender ratio is mostly evenly distributed and some classes have more girls than the boys. Students of various religions and ethnicities study here but mostly from Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.
Yes i had opted for hostel and the hostel infrastructure is good but the facilities is not that good as the food is very bad as they serve Punjabi food and Punjabi food is like shit and it is really shitty
Yes the college provides for extracurricular activities and sports as well and thus it provides for basketball courts , volleyball courts and cricket grounds and also a mini stadium for athletics, the infrastructure regarding sports is of quite high standard
There are lot of committees in our college. Being a law college it does not need any lab. This is a part of panjab university and thus have lot of play grounds and a very good infrastructure. We have a moot court hall , which is essential for any law college. We have very well managed library and computer room
As far as Labs are concerned for a course like Law; Moot Court hall is all we do actually require and the department has a well Furnished Moot Court Hall. And with respect to co-curricular activities and Sports, we have a well equipped sports complex in the Panjab university.
The campus has a well maintained infrastructure the buildings, roads, gardens, hostels, admin blocks and street lights all are maintained very well and regularly, thus it is a very clean campus. The campus also has an overall wifi connection for the students and the teachers and it is secured very much .
Hostel facilities are very much good. Our college is actually known for its infrastructure which is spick and span and the rooms are very spacious and tidy. Mess food is also good and the menu is prepared keeping in mind the cultural diversity.
Various extra curricular activities are held in our college like muns, debate competitions, quiz fests,Moot Court Competitions, Client Counseling Sessions, Seminars, Group Discussions and Extension Lectures etc. and they are a regular feature of the academic calendar of the Institute.
A number of events are organised such as MUNs, Moot competitions, quiz contests, debates, cultural fests, annual fest etc. Keeping in mind the cultural and regional diversity, all the festivals are celebrated with great enthusiasm and ardour.
Several sports fests like Akhaada sports fest are held at the college. Drishyam is a cultural committee national fest held here. A.S Anand national mediation competition and Arguendo( national trial advocacy and client counseling competition) are some of the law based competitions held here.

Its major postive point is that it is a part of the traditional University i.e. Panjab University, and it exposes the students to other departments of studies, it also a huge library that enhances the researching skills of a student, and the overall environment of the whole campus is quite academic as well as cultural, so it develops the personality bof students in every way.by Student
College doing good but needs improvement. Emphasis should be laid on modern technology and equipment like e-classrooms, e-payment, better common areas etc. Declining rank of the university in the education rankings is something to worry about.by Tanish Dahuja
