APJEE Application Form 2027: Registration Expected April 2027, Eligibility and How to Apply

What is APJEE Application Form 2027?

The APJEE Application Form 2027 is the official online registration form for admission to Diploma programmes — including Diploma in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Computer Science) and Diploma in Pharmacy — offered at government polytechnics and technical institutes across Arunachal Pradesh. APJEE is administered by the Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Technical Education (APSCTE) under the Directorate of Higher and Technical Education (DHTE), Government of Arunachal Pradesh. In 2026, DHTE scrapped the written entrance examination and moved to direct merit-based admission on Class X marks. Whether the written test will return for 2027 depends on the official notification — which is not yet released as of September 2026. The overall application process (registration, document upload, fee payment, counselling) is expected to remain the same regardless of whether a written exam is held.

APJEE Registration Trends — Last 5 Years

The only publicly available data point shows that in 2023, 348 students registered but only 223 appeared — an attendance rate of about 64%, which is notably lower than national-level exams. DHTE does not publish comprehensive year-wise registration statistics. The 2026 cycle had no written exam, so those statistics are not comparable to prior years. Based on historical patterns, the total applicant pool for APJEE has been in the 300–400 range annually, and the 2027 cycle is expected to remain similar in size.

APJEE 2027 Eligibility Criteria (Before You Apply)

You must satisfy both the domicile condition and the academic qualification requirement before applying. APJEE is exclusively open to permanent residents of Arunachal Pradesh and APST students.

Note: Only APST students and permanent residents of Arunachal Pradesh satisfying the domicile criteria are eligible — students from other states cannot apply for APJEE.

Domicile / Residency Eligibility

• APST (Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe) students — eligible irrespective of current residence
• Children of Non-APST employees of the State Government, Central Government, or Central PSUs who are posted and currently serving in Arunachal Pradesh
• Non-APST students who have resided in Arunachal Pradesh for at least 3 consecutive years and appeared or passed their qualifying examination from a school within Arunachal Pradesh

Academic Qualification

• Diploma in Engineering programmes: Passed Class X with English, Science, and Mathematics from a government-recognised board; minimum 35% aggregate marks
• Diploma in Pharmacy: Passed Class XII (Science stream) from a government-recognised board; minimum 35% aggregate marks
• Diploma in Travel and Tourism Management: Class X pass certificate is sufficient; no minimum marks requirement stated

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 15 years at the time of admission
• Maximum age: 21 years at the time of admission
• SC/ST students: 3 years relaxation in the upper age limit (maximum 24 years)

How to Fill APJEE Application Form 2027

APJEE 2027 applications will be submitted online at https://apdhte.nic.in/. The process has two phases: new registration, followed by form filling and fee payment. Since APJEE does not offer a correction window, complete every step carefully and verify before submitting.

Phase 1: New Registration

1. Visit the official portal at https://apdhte.nic.in/ and click the APJEE 2027 Registration link when it becomes active.
2. Enter your name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID exactly as on your Class 10 certificate.
3. Verify your mobile number using the OTP sent via SMS.
4. Set a strong password and immediately note down your Application Number — you will need it for all future logins, admit card, and counselling.
5. Save your login credentials securely — losing them may prevent access to your application and counselling portal.

Phase 2: Fill the Application Form

1. Log in using your Application Number and Password at https://apdhte.nic.in/.
2. Fill in personal details: full name, date of birth, gender, category (APST or Non-APST), and permanent residential address in Arunachal Pradesh.
3. Fill in academic details: Class 10 board name, year of passing, roll number, and marks obtained. Pharmacy applicants must also add Class 12 details.
4. Select your programme preference — Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science Engineering, Pharmacy, or Travel and Tourism Management, as applicable.
5. Select your institute and exam centre preferences in the order you prefer.
6. Upload your photograph and signature in JPG format, each not exceeding 25 KB. Also upload required documents (PRC, marksheets, category certificate) in the specified format.
7. Review every field carefully before proceeding — APJEE has no correction window, and no changes can be made after submission.
8. Pay the application fee (Rs. 500 for APST / Rs. 700 for Non-APST) via debit card, credit card, or net banking through the BillDesk gateway.
9. Download and save the confirmation page immediately after payment — take a printout and keep it safe for counselling.

Documents Required for APJEE Application Form 2027

Note: The PRC (Permanent Resident Certificate) is mandatory for all applicants. Without a valid PRC or equivalent domicile proof, your application can be rejected at the document verification stage during counselling, even if your merit rank is high.

APJEE Application Fee 2027

APJEE uses a two-tier fee structure based on APST status — not the usual General/OBC/SC-ST split used in national exams. Pay online during the application process; offline payment is not accepted.

APJEE Application Form Correction 2027

Unlike most state entrance exams, APJEE does not offer a form correction window after the application form is submitted. This is explicitly stated in the official APJEE information brochure every year, and there is no separate correction portal or facility available after the submission deadline.

What this means: Once you submit the APJEE application form, no changes can be made to any field — not your name, date of birth, category, Class 10 marks, photograph, signature, programme preference, or centre preference. If incorrect information is found during document verification at counselling, your candidature may be cancelled without refund of the application fee.
