JAC Board Secondary Result Previous Year Statistics

The year-wise statistics below cover JAC Board Class 10 results for the last five years. The data shows how the overall pass percentage has moved, how many students appeared, and how girls and boys have compared. This gives you a realistic benchmark for the 2027 result cycle.

Pass percentages stayed high (95%+) from 2022 through 2023, partly due to post-COVID evaluation adjustments. From 2024, with fully normalised offline exams and standard evaluation, the pass rate settled around 90–91% — still a strong outcome for a state-level exam. In 2026, it climbed back to 95.27%, reflecting improved student preparation. Girls have consistently outperformed boys in every year for which gender-wise data is available.

For 2027, if the exam returns to standard evaluation patterns, a pass percentage in the 90–95% range is a reasonable expectation based on the five-year trend.

JAC Board Secondary Result 2027: Alternative Ways to Check

The official websites often experience high traffic on result day, causing slowdowns. If you can’t access jac.jharkhand.gov.in or jacresults.com, here are alternative methods to get your JAC Board Class 10 result 2027:

The DigiLocker marksheet is as valid as the physical copy for most official purposes, including college admissions and scholarship applications. Download and save it after the result is out.

JAC Board Secondary Marksheet 2027: Details Mentioned

The JAC Board Class 10 marksheet is the official record of your academic performance. Your school distributes the original hard-copy marksheet after the result is published; a digital version is available on DigiLocker. Check all details carefully when you receive it. If anything is wrong — misspelled name, incorrect marks, wrong date of birth — report it to your school and to JAC within the correction window they announce.

Your JAC Board Secondary 2027 marksheet will contain:

• Student’s full name (as registered with JAC)
• Father’s name and mother’s name
• Roll number and registration number
• School name and code
• Subject-wise marks — theory marks and practical / internal assessment marks shown separately
• Total marks obtained and maximum marks
• Overall percentage scored
• Division — Distinction, First Division, Second Division, or Third Division
• Pass / Compartment / Fail status in each subject and overall
• Official JAC stamp and authorised signature

JAC Board Secondary Result 2027: Grading System and Divisions

JAC Board Class 10 does not use a letter-grade or CGPA system. Instead, it awards divisions based on your overall percentage. The division appears on your marksheet and matters for Class 11 stream eligibility, certain scholarship criteria, and government job applications that ask for secondary qualification details.

Your division is based on your aggregate percentage across all subjects. Even if you pass every subject, you only earn a division after meeting the overall percentage threshold. In 2026, over 2.26 lakh students secured First Division and over 1.60 lakh secured Second Division — giving a clear picture of the distribution students can aim for.

JAC Board Secondary Result 2027: Pass Criteria

To pass the JAC Board Class 10 exam, you need to meet the minimum marks requirement in each subject individually — a high score in one subject cannot make up for a fail in another. Here is exactly how the pass criteria works:

• You need at least 33 marks out of 100 (33%) in each subject.
• For subjects with both theory and practical components, you must pass both separately. Strong theory marks do not compensate for a fail in practical, and vice versa.
• If you score 33% or more in all subjects, you are declared Pass.
• If you fail in one or two subjects but pass in the rest, you are declared Compartment.
• If you fail in three or more subjects, you are declared Fail and must repeat the full exam in the next cycle.

JAC Board Secondary Result 2027: Grace Marks Policy

JAC has a grace marks provision to help students who fall just short of the minimum pass mark in a subject. If you are within a few marks of 33%, JAC may add grace marks so you cross the passing threshold. Here is how it generally works:

• Grace marks are applied automatically after evaluation, before the result is published. You do not need to apply for them.
• The grace provision typically applies to students short by a small margin — usually up to 5–10 marks per subject. JAC announces the exact limit for each cycle in its official notification.
• If grace marks push your score to 33% in a subject, your result for that subject is updated to Pass.
• Grace marks help you pass a subject but do not typically change your division; the division is calculated on your actual marks.
• The grace marks policy is not guaranteed every year. Whether JAC applies it for 2027 will depend on the official circular released with or before the result.

Always refer to the official JAC 2027 result notification on jac.jharkhand.gov.in for the exact grace marks policy applicable to your year.

JAC Board Secondary Result 2027: Compartment Exam

If you fail in one or two subjects in the main Class 10 exam, you are declared Compartment. You don’t have to repeat the entire year — JAC gives you a second chance through the Compartment Exam, where you re-appear only in the subjects you failed. Clearing all compartment subjects earns you a full pass certificate.

• If you clear all compartment subjects, JAC issues a fresh pass certificate with your updated marks and division.
• If you fail the compartment exam too, you must appear as a regular or private candidate in the next year’s full exam.
• Most Class 11 schools require a full pass. If you get compartment, check your target school’s policy on provisional admissions while compartment result is awaited.

JAC Board Secondary Result 2027: Scrutiny and Re-evaluation

If you believe your marks are wrong — because of a totaling error or unfair evaluation of your answers — JAC gives you two options: scrutiny and re-evaluation. These are separate processes and serve different purposes.

• Both applications open within 30 days of result declaration. The exact window is announced by JAC after the result.
• Apply online on jac.jharkhand.gov.in. A fee is charged per subject — check the official notification for the fee amount in 2027.
• Re-evaluation results are final. You cannot apply for a second re-evaluation of the same answer sheet.
• Do not delay — the application window closes quickly. Apply as soon as the form is available if you are unsatisfied with your marks.

What After JAC Board Secondary Result 2027?

Passing the JAC Board Class 10 exam opens the door to senior secondary education and a range of career paths. Here is what you should do once your result is out:

• Collect your original marksheet: Your school distributes the hard-copy marksheet after the result. Pick it up and keep it safe — you will need it for Class 11 admission, scholarship forms, and more.
• Choose your Class 11 stream: Science (PCM or PCB), Commerce, or Arts. Most Jharkhand schools begin admissions shortly after the Class 10 result. Seats in popular streams fill up fast, so apply early.
• Check scholarship eligibility: Jharkhand government and the central government offer post-matric scholarships for SC, ST, OBC, minority, and EWS students. Check the National Scholarship Portal at scholarships.gov.in and Jharkhand’s state scholarship portal for current schemes.
• Download your DigiLocker marksheet: Log in to digilocker.gov.in after JAC uploads the marksheets. Save your digital copy — it is officially accepted and useful for online applications.
• If you received Compartment: Register for the JAC Class 10 Compartment Exam 2027 as soon as JAC announces the form. Clear the remaining subjects to avoid delays in Class 11 admission.
• If you did not pass: You can appear for the full exam again next year as a private candidate. Many students clear it in their second attempt with focused preparation. Use the time to identify weak subjects and work on them systematically.
