Punjab Board Result (Declared): Check Latest Updates, Revised Syllabus and Exam Pattern
Punjab Board declared the revaluation/rechecking results for class 10th and class 12th today i.e. Sep 6, 2020. Previously, the board announced the results for class 10 and 12 on May 29, 2020 and July 21 respectively. The result is available on the official website of Punjab board. Candidates can download the result by entering the name and board roll number. All the exams that were pending for class 10 and 12 were cancelled by the board. The board promoted all the candidates to the next level on the basis of internal assessment.

Punjab Board Class 10 Exam
Results for class 10 board exams were declared on May 29, 2020. The board cancelled all the pending exams and the marks were allotted on the basis of internal assessment and pre board exam. For the 2021 exam the board has released the notification for registration. Candidates are suggested to check and act accordingly in order to apply for the exam. The syllabus for class 10 has been reduced by 30% as the classes are suspended and remaining time is not enough to complete the whole syllabus. The 2021 exams are likely to be scheduled around the third week of March, 2020.
Punjab Board Class 12 Exam
The class 12th examination of Punjab Board was also delayed, unsurprisingly, as the lockdown was initiated right in the middle of the examination schedule. The examination was supposed to be conducted between 3rd to 30th March, but then was rescheduled between April 3rd and April 18th. These were postponed even then, before ultimately being canceled altogether. The marking was done on the basis of previously conducted examinations. The result was declared on July 21, 2020 on the official website. The board issued a digital marksheet for the students as it was difficult to collect original mark sheets from the school. Candidates can download the mark sheet from digiLocker facility. The board has reduced the syllabus for intermediate exams also. Candidates are now required to study 70% part of the syllabus and the 30% have been omitted. The detailed syllabus is available on the website.
Punjab Board Syllabus

Punjab Board Exam Pattern
There are four compulsory subjects that, from which Environmental Education and Computer Science will be conducted and taken only at the school level. As for the paper, it will carry four sections, which will be – namely –objective type question, very short answers type questions, short type questions and descriptive, long-type question, all of which has proper marks distributed to each section.

PSEB released the students admit cards so as to give them the security as well as the admission to their respective exam centers. The admit card contains the student’s name, roll number, along with the exam dates, exam centers etc. Students are advised to keep their admit cards with them all the time and more importantly, not lose it at any cost.

Punjab Board Exam 2020- Analysis
The exam of Class 12th of PSEB was characterized by confusion, as there was no firm decision being made for the students in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic. The exam was postponed at least twice, before the pending PSEB exams were canceled. The results – which were declared on 21st July, 2020 - will be based on the best performing subject formula. The results were already delayed because of the uncertain status of the examination. The results were ultimately declared on July 21st, 2020. Punjab Board Result Analysis
The overall pass percentage of 2020 results of PSEB was 90.98%. On the other hand, the PSEB 12th result in 2019 was 86.41 percent, meaning that the overall pass percentage has increased by 4.57% than last year. The pass percentage of rural areas is better than the urban area, as the former stands as 93.39% while the latter boasts of 91.96% in PSEB 12th examination 2020.

Punjab Board Revaluation Process
The revaluation result has been declared by the board on Sep 6, 2020 for senior and higher secondary exam. In this process the marks allotted to the answers have been calculated again to assure the accuracy. The candidates will receive updated mark sheet if any changes have been made in the marks. In this process the marks may decrease and no claims shall be accepted for reduced marks. The students can get their answer sheets rechecked by an independent examiner, which will also be assigned by the board. As for revaluation, the marks of the provided answer sheet will be calculated again closely and check whether there is any. Steps to check the revaluation result are as follows:
