NTA has renamed UPSEE as UPCET (Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test) in an official announcement on March 25. As per the revised schedule released, UPSEE (UPCET) 2021 will be conducted on June 15 at 57 cities across India. UPSEE (UPCET) Registration has started online on April 1. UPSEE 2021: B.Tech Admissions
Candidates seeking admission to the undergraduate B.Tech program through UPSEE 2021 will now be taking JEE Main 2021 for admission to the first semester of B.Tech / B.Arch. courses affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow. UPSEE (UPCET) 2021 Application Form
To fill UPSEE (UPCET) 2021 Application Form, students need to visit the official website at upcet.nta.nic.in. The application form will be available online. Candidates will be required to pay the required application fee online through the payment gateway through debit/credit cards, net banking, UPI or Paytm.
Candidates must take a printout of their UPCET 2021 Application Form once the submission is done for future use.
UPSEE (UPCET) 2021 Eligibility Criteria
UPSEE (UPCET) 2021 Eligibility Criteria includes various parameters such as educational qualification, age limit, domicile, nationality, etc.
- Age: There is no age limit for admissions based on UPCET 2021.
- Nationality: Indian nationals are eligible to apply for UPCET 2021 however, foreign nationals/ PIOs are also eligible.
- Domicile: It is not mandatory for candidates to have a domicile of Uttar Pradesh for admissions based on UPCET. However, candidates who do not have a domicile of Uttar Pradesh will only be eligible for admission to 20% of the seats.
- Educational Qualification: The minimum educational qualification required for admissions based on UPSEE (UPCET) 2021 varies according to the program.
- B.Pharma/ B.Des/ BHMCT/ B.Voc/ BFA/ BFAD/ MCA (Integrated)/ MBA (Integrated): Candidates must have passed Class 12th or equivalent for admission.
- B.Tech/ B.Pharma (Lateral Entry): Candidates must have passed a valid Diploma or must be a B.Sc graduate.
- MCA/ MBA/ M.Sc./ M.Tech: Candidates must have passed a valid undergraduate degree from a recognized institute.

UPSEE (UPCET) 2021 Syllabus
UPSEE (UPCET) 2021 Syllabus will be based on the topics and sections from respective qualifying degrees. For undergraduate courses, the UPCET syllabus will be based on topics from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology or other valid courses.

UPSEE (UPCET) 2021 Admit Card
UPSEE (UPCET) 2021 Admit Card will be released for download on the official website upcet.nta.nic.in at least 1-2 weeks before the exam. Option to download UPCET admit card after the notified period will not be allowed, and no further downloads will be possible after the same. Thus, candidates are advised to download their admit card as soon as they are published.
How to download UPSEE Admit Card?
Candidates can download their UPSEE (UPCET) 2021 Admit Card by following the below-mentioned steps:
- Go to the UPCET 2021 official website.
- Click on UPCET 2021 admit card.
- A login window will appear.
- Type your UPCET 2021 application number and password to login and download the admit card.
- Window showing the admit card will appear.
- Click on the download admit card link.
- After downloading the admit card take a printout of the same.
UPSEE (UPCET) 2021 Answer Key
After the conclusion of the exam, NTA will release UPCET 2021 Answer Key that will include the correct answers for each question in the question paper. Candidates will be able to use the answer key to calculate their expected scores in the exam before the announcement of the result. Using these scores, candidates can predict their UPCET rank using Collegedunia’s UPCET 2021 Rank Predictor. The answer keys will be released on the official website at upcet.nta.nic.in.
Students must note that NTA will first release the preliminary UPCET answer key which will be open for a challenge in case of objections raised by candidates. To raise objections, candidates will need to write an email to NTA mentioning details such as Name, Roll Number, Paper Number, Paper Code, Grievance Question Number, the correct answer along with proof. However, the decision to accept the challenge depends on the exam expert committee. In case the challenge stated is accepted, a changed answer key will be issued.
UPSEE (UPCET) 2021 Results
UPSEE (UPCET) 2021 Result will be released by NTA on the official website. Based on the candidate's performance, a separate merit list will be released by the authority for different courses. Candidates will be able to download UPCET scorecard and merit rank by submitting their roll number and date of birth. Details mentioned on UPSEE (UPCET) 2021 Result will include course applied for, Merit Rank, total marks scored, marks obtained in each subject.

UPSEE (UPCET) 2021 Counselling
Candidates who qualify UPCET 2021 will be eligible for the counseling process for admission to respective courses. Based on the rank obtained by the candidate in the exam, a merit list will be prepared. Candidates scoring higher marks would be placed higher in the merit list whereas those scoring lower marks would hover at the bottom. Candidates who will feature in the merit list would be called for the document verification process. After the document verification candidates would be allowed to take part in the registration and choice locking process.
UPSEE (UPCET) 2021 Counselling would be done based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance exam as well as the choices locked by the candidate at the time of choice locking process.

UPCET 2021 scores will be accepted by various Govt./Govt. aided institutions and private unaided institutions affiliated to Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT) and some other State Universities of Uttar Pradesh. Ans. Candidates, in such cases, must immediately contact the helpdesk. They must not tamper with their UPCET admit card in any case. Discrepancies must be rectified before the exam.

Ques. Will UPCET 2021 offer admission into B. Tech courses?
Ans. No. From academic year 2021-22, UPSEE (now called UPCET) will no longer be used for admission into B. Tech courses offered by colleges in Uttar Pradesh. Instead, students will be admitted based on JEE Main scores.
Ques. Why has UPSEE been replaced by JEE Main for getting B.Tech admissions in UP?
Ans. Colleges that previously used UPSEE to grant admission to B. Tech or B. Arch courses will now use JEE Main marks for that purpose. This ensures that students from the state no longer have to worry about two different exams, and thus can focus and be more competitive in JEE Main 2021. Many other states already offer admission into their universities through JEE Main, thus this move has been made to let the candidates from UP remain competitive at the national level by not having the burden of an extra exam.
