The University of Bayreuth does not charge its students any tuition fee. However, a semester contribution of 107.80 EUR has to be paid twice every year. Other costs of living in Bayreuth amount approximately to € 720 per month. Every prospective student must ensure their capacity to spend this amount in order to receive a permit to study at the University of Bayreuth.

International students and doctoral researchers have the option to apply for a study grant via the International Office by submitting a completed application form.
Application Deadlines : 31 August (winter); 28 February (summer)
Only the students who have completed 2 semesters of higher education at the university can apply for the above-mentioned scholarship(s).
Students can also fund their studies in Germany by taking up jobs. However, German laws prohibit international students working for more than 120 full-days in a year. Hence, it is recommended to not depend heavily on jobs as a source of funding.
