The Carl Benz School of Engineering is an independent institution within one of the most prestigious technical universities in the world, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Carl Benz School of Engineering International Admission

While KIT admits around 600 students for mechanical engineering classes in the 1st-semester, the Carl Benz School only accepts a maximum of 50 students. The school provides small classes of approximately 30 people ensuring the elite standing of the university.

Admission Requirements for International Students

  • All the academic records/transcripts from previously attended schools
  • Official transcripts that are not in English must be accompanied along with a certified English translation.
  • Generally, a GPA of at least 3.5 is expected.
  • SAT Test (Math, Evidence-Based Reading and Writing) with at least 1200 points.
  • Excellent grades in Mathematics & Physics
  • Proof of English proficiency for non-native English speakers.
  • Letter of motivation highlighting strong interests in engineering and future goals.
  • Positive letters of recommendation from high school teachers (recommended)

In addition to the general admission requirements, supporting documents providing any additional qualifications such as:
