Paderborn University 2020-2021 Admissions: Entry Requirements, Deadlines, Application Process
With about 20,344 students enrolled in its different programs, admissions at the University of Paderborn are invited for winter and summer terms. The university offers more than 120 UG and PG courses in various disciplines offered by its five faculties. All the applicants must keep in mind deadlines for the receipt of registration documents. Allow enough time for the mail to send the documents since mailing of documents often takes longer time than expected. Ques. What impact will COVID-19 have on the application process and application deadlines?
Ans. The application deadlines and procedures remain the same but if applicants could not submit certified documents on time, they can apply with simple copies prior to the deadline. However, certified copies must be submitted to the International Office or Uni-Assist by July 15, 2020.
Ques. What does COVID-19 mean for the enrollment process?
Ans. Enrollment period for winter semester 2020 starts from September 1 to October 22. All the documents must be sent in advance to email@example.com.
Ques. How can I find financial support since the corona pandemic has resulted in financial difficulties?
Ans. Students can apply for funds from Corona Aid Fund for UPB students and Deutsche Studierendenwerk for bridging help. International students can also apply for student loans like:

Ques. Will the Corona pandemic and the postponement of summer semester 2020 affect my BAföG?
Ans. No, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research announced by decree that the postponement of lectures will not affect the BAföG entitlement. Self-study and online courses will be counted as study activities. BAföG applications must be submitted by April 2020 unless the applicant has received a BAföG notification for summer semester 2020.
Ques. Could I also receive a short-time work allowance as a job student?
Ans. No. Job-seeking students cannot get health, nursing and unemployment insurance. Such students are also exempted from short-time benefits.
