  • Comprised of 7 academic faculties, the University of Tuebingen offers more than 300 study programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral level to nearly 28,000 students.
  • The university is renowned for its faculties in medicine, law, theology, and science. It offers international, innovative, English, and multilingual study programs as well as summer-term and preparatory courses.

Admission Requirements

  • Higher Education Entrance Qualification; Bachelor’s Degree (graduate programs)
  • **German Language Skills: DSH 2 or DSH 3; TestDaF (TDN 4); Telc German C1 College; Goethe Certificate C2; German Language Diploma of the Standing Conference - Level II (DSD II) with the result C1 in all parts of the examination; Assessment test of a German Studienkolleg (FSP)
  • Aptitude Test (for some programs)

  • Passport photo; Scanned copy of Passport

**Some programs only require German language proficiency at the DSH 1 level, whereas master’s and doctoral program taught in English do not require German language proficiency.

University of Tuebingen Tuition & Other Costs

All international students starting a degree program at the University of Tuebingen in the winter semester are required to pay a tuition fee of 1,500 EUR per semester. Additionally, all students are required to pay a semester feel of 154 EUR (approx.) twice every year.

  • International students may work full-time (8 hr/day) or half-time (4 hr/day) for upto 120 or 240 days respectively without any intervention to finance their studies.
