I don't really know about any scholarships tbh, the deduction for my friend in Information Systems, he got 5500 eur cut off from his fee, for some sort of scholarship.
I guess, maybe around 400-600 people will get scholarships easily from some courses, which I really didn't do any research cuz I only wanted one course, that is why I chose that, nothing much.

I found my accommodation through a person who is a PR in Ireland, so it made it easy for us to have access to it.

I recommend nothing for the future student cuz they don't really have houses currently in Ireland.

To be honest nothing as such to dislike about.

You can apply online on your university website or you can use Facebook Marketplace, but beware, as scams happen on Facebook. There are multiple WhatsApp groups as well where people offer short-term or long-term accommodations. But according to my experience, in the initial days, always book student accommodation, as finding homes from India would be difficult or your housemates might not be according to your liking and you might end up shifting multiple times.
Few websites for student accommodations are aparto, nido, hugo, point campus (these are the off-campus student accommodation slightly on higher side.)

I used Amber Student to find my student accommodation, they helped me to know every detail of it. But there are more platforms like Cassata and University living. Not having anyone here to personally search and visit is a challenge I faced. I would recommend to ask someone who lives there to give proper visits and verify the property as there are scams taking place.

With an ongoing crisis in Ireland, it is extremely difficult to find an accommodation that provides value for money. Though websites like daft.ie could be helpful sometimes, most people rely on Facebook/Whatsapp groups, which pose a risk of getting scammed.
I would recommend finding a connection who would help you view properties to see if they are legitimate to avoid getting scammed. It is best to prefer student accommodations that provide end-to-end services or shared apartments.

Located at a safer place in Dublin, excellent facilities for commutation. frequent bus services from within the campus and in house dinning options along with sports area, theatre and clubs.

Dislikes

Nothing apart from the hostel rent as mentioned. paying 1000+ euro for a month becomes too much when you calculate you monthly expense in Ireland. That is only available for 10 months.

UCD - The must place is pursue your higher education dream

My PhD supervisor was well-known in my chosen area of research.
Academically, it is a great place to pursue your studies. You would learn from the top scientists and academicians in your chosen area of study. Besides this, the support they give to students is immense, and especially as an international student, you'd never feel that you were staying away from home, as you would find several Indian students at the campus.
Also, there are several students’ clubs where you can meet and greet people. More importantly, you will have a great time learning with several like-minded people across the globe.

Dislikes

One of the major limitations that Indian students would face at the University is the lack of accommodation support. It is nearly impossible to get a place to stay close to the institute as the prices are either way expensive or it is very hard to get a place e.g., for every single room there will be around 30-50 people will be competing.
I believe the university hostel accommodation have to be booked well-advanced (may be like a year or so) but again it is expensive.

My PhD was funded by Irish Research Council, for which I had to write a project proposal.

Again, it is one of the best places around the globe to pursue your studies, regardless of your educational and research background.

UCD holds a special place in my heart. My enrolment at the prestigious university has given me innumerable and memorable experiences to cherish. It’s accepting of all cultures, had a supporting environment and a lovely lake with beautiful swans and ducks.
They organise student international trips with discounted prices which is worth trying out. They also have multiple cultural forums that you can take part in. That also offer scholarships for students.

Dislikes

I don’t particularly dislike anything about my university. If I have to choose with a hard thought, then it will be something like distance from the centre. It’s quite on the outskirts. Also, college fees is on the higher level so it can be reduced.
