Enter your details to get estimated prediction

Collegedunia KEAM 2026 Rank Predictor is a free tool that helps engineering aspirants estimate their expected KEAM rank before the official rank list is released. Students can enter their expected KEAM 2026 marks or percentile, paper type and category to check their probable rank range and list of BE/BTech colleges they can target through KEAM counselling.

KEAM 2026 rank prediction is useful for students who want to plan their college choices early. The tool uses previous-year KEAM score vs rank trends, counselling data, category-wise cutoffs, seat availability and admission patterns to estimate the rank range.

Based on previous KEAM rank trends:

  • 90–100 marks: Rank around 1–500; chances at top government engineering colleges
  • 80–89 marks: Rank around 501–1,500; strong chance at good government and aided colleges
  • 70–79 marks: Rank around 1,501–5,000; good chance at government/self-financing colleges
  • 60–69 marks: Rank around 5,001–10,000; options in mid-level engineering colleges
  • 50–59 marks: Rank around 10,001–20,000; more college options under Kerala counselling
  • Below 50 marks: Chances depend on category, branch preference, seat matrix and counselling round

However, the final KEAM rank may vary because the official engineering rank list is prepared after considering KEAM entrance score and Class 12 marks as per CEE Kerala rules. For engineering rank preparation, CEE gives 50:50 weightage to the normalized KEAM entrance score and normalized Class 12 marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/eligible substitute subject.

The KEAM 2026 Rank Predictor helps students check admission chances for top engineering colleges in Kerala. Students can use the tool after the exam, answer key release or score calculation to plan their option entry for KEAM counselling.

How Collegedunia Estimates KEAM 2026 Ranks?

Collegedunia estimates KEAM 2026 ranks by analysing previous-year score vs rank trends, cutoff movement and counselling data. Since KEAM rank depends on more than only entrance marks, the predicted rank should be used as an early planning estimate.

Key factors considered:

  • KEAM marks/percentile: Higher score usually leads to better rank
  • Previous-year trends: Helps map score bands with rank ranges
  • Exam difficulty level: Tougher paper may lower cutoffs
  • Number of candidates: More candidates increase competition
  • Category: Cutoffs vary for General, EWS, OBC, SC, ST and PwD
  • Class 12 marks: Engineering rank includes qualifying exam marks as per official rules
  • Seat matrix: More seats may improve admission chances
  • Branch demand: CSE, AI, ECE and other high-demand branches close at higher ranks
  • Counselling round: Closing ranks may change in later allotment rounds

For KEAM engineering, the entrance test includes Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The official prospectus states that Mathematics has 75 questions, Physics has 45 questions and Chemistry has 30 questions, with 180 minutes given for the engineering paper.

Note: The predicted rank is only an estimate. Final rank may change after CEE Kerala applies normalization, tie-breaking rules and official rank list preparation.

Unattempted question 0

CEE Kerala mentions that each correct response carries 4 marks, while 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect response. No marks are deducted for unanswered questions.

KEAM Score Calculation Formula

KEAM Score = (Correct Answers × 4) − (Incorrect Answers × 1)

Example:

If a student gets 80 answers correct and 20 answers incorrect:

Calculation Marks
Correct answers: 80 × 4 320
Incorrect answers: 20 × -1 -20
Expected KEAM Score 300 / 600

After calculating the expected score, students can enter it in Collegedunia’s KEAM Rank Predictor 2026 to check their expected rank range.

KEAM 2026 Rank List: How Final Rank is Prepared

The final KEAM 2026 engineering rank is not prepared only on the basis of entrance marks. CEE Kerala prepares the engineering rank list by combining:

  • normalized KEAM entrance score, and
  • normalized Class 12 marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/eligible substitute subject.

The official prospectus states that equal weightage of 50:50 is given to the normalized entrance score and Class 12 marks. The entrance score is computed out of 300, Class 12 subject marks are computed out of 300, and the engineering rank list is prepared out of an index mark of 600.

This means two students with the same KEAM entrance score may get different final ranks if their Class 12 marks are different.

KEAM 2026 Safe Score for Engineering Admission

A safe score in KEAM 2026 depends on branch, college type, category, Class 12 marks and counselling round. Students targeting top government engineering colleges need a higher score because closing ranks for popular branches like Computer Science Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Electrical Engineering remain competitive.

The table below highlights expected safe-score ranges for KEAM 2026 engineering admission.

Target College/Branch Type Expected Safe Score
Top government colleges with CSE/ECE 85+
Government colleges with core branches 75 – 85
Good aided/self-financing colleges 65 – 75
Mid-level self-financing colleges 50 – 65
Less competitive branches/private colleges Below 50

Final admission will depend on the official KEAM rank list, category-wise cutoff, option entry, seat matrix and allotment round.
