KEAM 2021 is an annual, state-level entrance exam to undergraduate programs in Engineering in about 150+ institutions in Kerala. The examination is conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), under the Government of Kerala.
According to KEAM 2021 Eligibility Criteria, all Indian citizens are eligible to apply for the exam, but only students from Kerala are eligible for reservations. Candidates must have qualified class 12th or equivalent exam from a recognised board with 50% in PCM/B.
KEAM 2021 Syllabus will be based on the 10+2 level, with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the three subjects.
KEAM 2021 Exam Pattern will consist of a total of 120 MCQ questions, which have to be attempted in 2 hours and 30 minutes. KEAM 2021 will be held as an offline pen and paper test.
Important Note: KEAM was initially conducted for admission in courses of Engineering, Architecture and Medical in the colleges of Kerala. With NEET becoming the National level medical/dental entrance test, KEAM medical exam has been discontinued. Admission to Architecture and Medical courses are done on the basis of NATA and NEET scores. KEAM 2021 Eligibility Criteria

KEAM 2021 Registration
KEAM 2021 Registration process is expected to start in the first week of February 2021. CEE will release the date for the availability of the application form and start of the registration process through an official notification. The entire process is conducted online on www.cee-kerala.org. Applicants should keep the following documents handy proceeding with the registration process:
- A valid Email ID and an active Mobile Number.
- Scanned images of Applicant’s Photograph, Signature and Left-Hand Thumb Impression (as per specifications).
- Mark sheet of Class 10th.
- Income Certificate
- Category Certificate (if claiming reservation)
- Community Certificate
Steps to fill Online Application Form for KEAM 2021
- Step 1: Register using a valid email id and active mobile number on the KEAM Application portal.
- Step 2: Re-login to the KEAM application portal using the system-generated Application ID and password and fill the KEAM Application Form.
- Step 3: Upload scanned images of your recent photograph, specimen signature, and left thumb impression as per the specifications given below:

- Step 4: Pay the Application Fee online using Debit/Credit Card or Internet Banking or offline through a Demand Draft.
- Step 5: Get prints of the form for record as well as send a physical copy to the CEE. In the copy that is to be sent to CEE, you must:
- Affix your recent photograph of dimensions 3.5 x 4.5 cm in the designated position.
- Place your left thumb impression in the provided space.
- Sign the form and also get it signed by your parents/ guardian.
- Get the form attested by either the Head of your school/ college or by a Gazetted Officer.

KEAM 2021 Form Correction
Applicants are allowed a short ‘Form Correction Window’, in case they wish to make any changes to some specific details in the KEAM Form. CEE allows this facility only once, after the form submission deadline is over, and for a very short period of time. Changes can be made through the KEAM Application portal, in sections such as Communication Address, Uploaded Images, ID details, etc. The steps involved in Form Correction are:
- Login to the KEAM application portal using Application Number and password.
- Make the intended changes in the Form and submit.
- Take a print out of the re-submitted application form.
KEAM 2021 Admit Card
KEAM 2021 Admit Card is an important document with information like the Applicant’s name, roll number, exam center and timings along with exam day instructions printed on it. Not only is it mandatory to carry the KEAM Admit Card in person on the exam day, but it will also be required to be presented during counseling and admission.
CEE releases KEAM 2021 Admit Cards on its official website for candidates to download and take prints. Please note that the KEAM Admit Card will not be sent to you by post or any other means. You would be able to access the KEAM 2021 Admit Card tentatively by the first week of April 2021.
You need to enter your KEAM Application number and your DoB to access the Admit Card.
KEAM 2021 Exam Center
KEAM is conducted in multiple centers all over Kerala as well as select metro cities like Mumbai and New Delhi and one international location, i.e., Dubai. At the time of KEAM application, candidates are required to choose their preferred exam center. Though CEE tries to accommodate the applicants’ choice in terms of KEAM Exam Centers, however their decision in this regard is the final.
Applicants will do well to visit their assigned exam center a day before the exam to avoid any confusion on the D-day. Also, please bear in mind that no reading materials, mobile phones, etc. are not allowed inside the exam hall.

KEAM 2021 Answer Key

KEAM 2021 Results
Commissioner for Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala will release KEAM 2021 Result in the 4th week of May, 2021 in the form of rank lists. The rank list includes Application number, Name of the candidate, Marks obtained in each subject, Normalised score, Entrance test score and Rank. KEAM rank lists for Engineering, Architecture, B.Pharm, MBBS/BDS, Medical & Allied (except MBBS/BDS/BAMS) and Ayurveda will be published separately.
KEAM 2021 Rank list will be prepared by giving equal weightage to the marks obtained in Paper 1 and Paper 2 put together and the marks obtained for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Computer Science/ Biology put together in the final year of the qualifying exam.

KEAM 2021 Cut Off
KEAM 2021 Cutoff contains the opening and closing ranks of the participating colleges that accept KEAM scores. After the result declaration of KEAM 2021, Commissioner of entrance examination, Kerala will release the cut off list on its official website. Only those candidates who score equal to the exam Cut off will be allowed to participate in the counselling process. KEAM 2021 Cut Off will depend on various factors like:

KEAM 2021 Counselling Process
KEAM 2021 Counselling will begin after the declaration of result. Post-release of merit list, allotment of seats in various courses and college will commence.

KEAM 2021 Seat Allotment
KEAM 2021 seat allotment process will begin with the counselling process in online mode. The seat will be allotted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP). It will be based on the candidate’s score in the entrance examination. The Authorities will release a merit list consisting of the names of qualified candidates. Only qualified candidates will be able to participate in KEAM 2021 Counselling and Seat allotment process. An allotment memo will be generated for the selected candidates.
KEAM 2021 Seat Allotment will depend upon the following factors:
- Availability of seats
- Merit list and preferences selected by the candidates out of available combinations
- CEE Kerala will subsequently release lists of allotted seats till the total seats are filled.

Ans. Only the competent revenue authority in Kerala alone will be accepted.
Ques. I belong to general category. Do I have to submit the income certificate?
Ans. It is necessary for the candidates who need to avail fee concession/ scholarship based on income certificate.
Ques. Village officer denied providing the Income and Community certificate in the prescribed format of KEAM. Instead, an Income Certificate in e-district format was given. Will the authority accept it?
Ans. The e-district format certificates are also acceptable. Candidates will also have to provide certificate number and security code with the certificates while applying for KEAM.
Ques. What documents have to be submitted for – Scouts & Guides, Sports, NCC Cadets?
Ans. Candidates have to submit the following documents:
- Scouts & Guides: Copy of Rashtrapati Guide Certificate signed by the President of India.
- Sports Quota: A photocopy of the filled application form has to be submitted to the Secretary, Kerala State Sport Council, Thiruvananthapuram – 695001
- NCC Cadets: A photocopy of the filled application form has to be submitted to the Deputy Director-General, NCC (Kerala), PB No.2212, Thiruvananthapuram-695010 through the respective NCC Unit Officers where the candidates have been enrolled as cadets.
Ques. While filling the Application form its showing ‘Session Time Out’? How to resolve the problem?
Ans. The specified time when the user does not work in the application form is called session timeout. Candidates have to log in again and avoid it again you should click on ‘Save’ button frequently after filling information to save the data.
Ques. For what factors my Application Form can get rejected?
Ans. Given below are the reasons for which KEAM Application form can be rejected:
- If the affixed photograph in the application form is different from the uploaded photograph.
- If the affixed photograph in the printed Application Form is not duly attested by the Head of the Institute where he/she last studied.
- If the uploaded documents are not clear or not as per the required specifications.
- If the print out of the application form and other documents reach after the last date specified.
