Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has commenced the registration process for the scholarship scheme for a single girl child.

The media report stated that the CBSE scholarship scheme is for students who have completed class 10 board exams in 2020. 

The official website released a notice stating that the students will be eligible for the scholarship only if they have completed the Class 10 Board Exam in 2020 from a CBSE affiliated school.

As per the dates provided online, the last date to apply for the CBSE Scholarship program is December 10, 2020.

Hence the candidates eligible for the CBSE scholarship scheme should complete their application process within the above mentioned date. 

The CBSE Scholarship program registration link will be available on the official website of CBSE Board - @cbse.nic.in

The official notice stated that the candidates eligible for the CBSE Scholarship scheme should submit the application form online by December 10, 2020, and the hard copy of the application for the renewal process must be submitted by December 28, 2020

The submission of application form and hard copy should be done before the last dates mentioned as the application received after the schedule won’t be considered. 

CBSE Scholarship Scheme: Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the CBSE Scholarship scheme as per the official statement includes -

  • The student should be the single girl child of her parents.
  • The candidate must have obtained aggregate marks of more than 60 percent in the CBSE class 10 exam.
  • The student, if studying in class 11 or 12 in the school affiliated to the board must not have a tuition fee of more than INR 1500 per month. 

The CBSE scholarship programme is an initiative to recognize the efforts of parents in promoting education among girls and also to encourage meritorious students.
