Gujarat Technological University has enrolled around 82 overseas students from across 22 countries amidst the pandemic covid-19 circumstances.
In a press report, Gujarat Technological University (GTU) officials stated that it is the only university across the state to enroll as many as 82 overseas students this year.
On realizing the importance of bringing more diversity into classrooms, the Gujarat Government initiated the 'Study In Gujarat' Strategy to enroll and attract foreign students to the GTU. This initiative has been at the forefront of enrolling overseas students in the GTU campuses.
The Vice-Chancellor at GTU, Naveen Shah said that GTU has always been ahead in providing technical education to the students at the national and international level.
As a result of which, from the past 3 consecutive years, GTU has become the first preference for overseas students to enroll themselves.
He added that so far, GTU has seen more than 828 students from 48 countries across the globe. Therefore, this year, the 82 students who have been admitted to the institute are from countries including Switzerland, Kenya, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Uganda, Namibia, Angola, Mozambique, and Bangladesh.
