BAMU Admission Dates 2026

BAMU admissions for the 2026 academic session were managed through Maharashtra state-level entrance tests and centralised counselling portals. B.Tech admissions used MHT-CET 2026, MBA used MAH-MBA-CET 2026, and MCA used MAH-MCA-CET 2026. PG Arts and Science programmes at the campus admit students through the university’s own admission cycle based on graduation merit. All 2026 cycles are now concluded.

For the 2027-28 session, MHT-CET 2027 registration is expected in February 2027. PG admissions at the campus follow a merit-based round in July 2027. The table below outlines the entrance exams accepted at BAMU for key programme families.

BAMU Courses and Fees

BAMU directly offers over 120 programmes at its campus level, spanning UG, PG, M.Phil., Ph.D., and short-duration certificate courses. It also provides academic and examination governance to its 428 affiliated colleges, which offer the bulk of UG engineering, commerce, arts, and science seats across Marathwada.

Notable specialisations include M.Sc in Artificial Intelligence (INR 48,665), Nanotechnology (INR 42,936), and Food Technology (INR 82,936). The certificate and diploma portfolio covers over 15 short programmes in language proficiency, tourism, psychology, and social sector subjects, priced at INR 2,741 to INR 34,500.

BAMU Admission Process

BAMU’s campus-level admission follows Maharashtra state-level centralised processes for professional programmes. Arts, Science, and Commerce PG programmes at the campus level use graduation merit-based admission. Doctoral admissions use the university’s PET (Ph.D. Entrance Test).

B.Tech (Food Technology and Pharma Technology)

• Eligibility: Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognised board. Minimum 45 percent aggregate (40 percent for reserved categories).
• Exam: Valid MHT-CET score is required.
• Selection: Centralised Admission Process (CAP) conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra. Seat allotment is round-wise through the online CAP portal.

MBA and MBA Executive

• Eligibility for MBA: Graduation in any discipline with minimum 50 percent aggregate (45 percent for reserved categories).
• Exam: MAH-MBA-CET score is accepted. CAT and CMAT scores are also considered in state CAP rounds.
• Selection: CAP counselling followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview at the institute.
• MBA Executive: Requires graduation plus minimum 3 years of relevant work experience. Selection through MAH-MBA-CET or direct application.

MCA

Eligibility is graduation in any stream with Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level, with a minimum 50 percent aggregate. Admission is through MAH-MCA-CET followed by CAP counselling. The programme runs on the university campus and is affiliated to BAMU.

PG Arts, Science, and Commerce

MA, M.Sc, M.Com, and similar PG programmes at the BAMU campus admit students on the basis of graduation marks in the relevant subject. Some programmes conduct a departmental entrance or use the BAMU PET. Seats are limited and fill through a merit list published by the respective department.

Ph.D. Programme

Ph.D. admissions at BAMU are held twice yearly and are governed by UGC norms. Candidates with a NET / JRF / GATE score are exempt from the BAMU PET. All other eligible candidates must clear the BAMU Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET), followed by a Departmental Research Committee interview. Research fellows with approved topics commence under registered supervisors across all 30 plus departments.

BAMU Placements
