BITS Pilani to Start Online Classes for MBA Students on 17 August

BITS Pilani has announced that it will begin the first semester of the academic year 2020-21 in online mode for students of MBA of both the first and second years. Classes will commence from 17 August onwards. This is an exceptional measure taken due to the coronavirus pandemic.

As a precursor to the upcoming semester, BITS Pilani has been giving a series of webinars to its MBA students since 11 July.

Many eminent people from the industry and academia have been invited to share their experiences and interact with the students through the webinars. 

Among the invited speakers were Dr. Pramath Raj Sinha, the founding dean of ISB Hyderabad and co-founder of Ashoka University; Raju Reddy, an alumnus of BITS Pilani and the founder of Sierra Atlantic in the Silicon Valley; and Sujit Panigrahi, another alumnus of BITS Pilani and co-founder and Chief Executive Officer at Sequoia Fitness and Sports Technology.

With a view to preparing the new batch of MBA students for their course, from 27 July onwards the Department of Management has also given online preparatory classes on different subjects before the students formally joined the institute. The webinars and preparatory classes have been received well by students.

The institute is now ready to start its journey with online classes for all MBA students this semester.
