The circumstantial probabilities when you opt-out –
- If the student has appeared for a few papers in an individual group, and opts out, in that case, they will also have to reappear for the papers they had written. Adjusting papers of the same group will not be allowed.
- If the student has appeared for all the papers of one group and wants to opt-out for the other group, that case will be considered and the student can appear for that group in the next CA Exams cycle.
- If the student categorizes under the opt-out scheme, then he/she shall appear for the CA Exams May 2021 cycle. In case of this, they will have to apply afresh for the May exams.
- There might be some discretion in the fees if the candidate has applied for one group in the November 2020 exams and wants to appear for both the groups in May 2021 exams.
The candidates who seek to avail of the CA November exams 2020 opt-out scheme need to submit a declaration form that will be available on the official website icai.org from November 7, 2020.
