CAT 2026 Correction Window to Open Soon at iimcat.ac.in; Check Fields That Can Be Edited

The Indian Institute of Management Indore has issued a notification for candidates. IIM Indore will open the CAT 2026 form correction window soon. The facility will go live at iimcat.ac.in for registered applicants.

The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2026 is scheduled for Sunday, November 29, 2026. It will be conducted in computer-based mode across three slots. IIM Indore is the conducting body for CAT 2026 this year.

CAT 2026 registration closed on September 22, 2026 at 5 PM. The fee payment window ended on September 24, 2026. Only candidates who completed both steps can access the correction facility.

Fields Candidates Can Edit in the CAT 2026 Form

The correction window allows changes to only three application items. Personal and academic details stay locked after form submission. Candidates must focus only on the permitted editable fields.

• Uploaded photograph
• Uploaded signature
• Test city preferences

Fields such as name and date of birth cannot be changed. Category, gender, work experience, and academic marks are also locked. Any error in locked fields needs official grievance support.

CAT 2026 Exam Pattern in Brief

CAT 2026 will be held in computer-based mode on exam day. The paper will run across three shifts on the same date. Each shift will last for two hours in total.

The paper covers three fixed sections of the syllabus.

• Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
• Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
• Quantitative Aptitude

The three slots are scheduled at 8:30 AM, 12:30 PM, and 4:30 PM. Entry gates will close 15 minutes before each slot begins. Candidates cannot switch slots after admit card release.

CAT 2026 Admit Card Details

IIM Indore will release the CAT 2026 admit card on November 4, 2026. Candidates can download it from iimcat.ac.in using login details. The admit card will carry the exam slot, centre name, and reporting time.

Applicants should carry a printed admit card to the exam centre. A valid photo ID proof is also mandatory for entry. Digital copies on mobile phones are not allowed inside centres.

What Happens After the Correction Window Closes?

Once the window shuts, the form is locked for all changes. IIM Indore will then process the data for admit card generation. A mismatch in photograph or signature can cause exam centre issues.

Test city allotment will be based on the submitted preferences. IIM Indore can change the allotted city in rare situations. Candidates should track updates on iimcat.ac.in until exam day.

Post CAT 2026 Selection Process

The CAT 2026 result is expected by early January 2027. IIMs will then release their own shortlists for the next stage. Each IIM has its own weightage for CAT score and other factors.

Shortlisted candidates then face written ability tests and personal interviews. Final admission depends on CAT score, academics, work experience, and interview performance.

How to Edit the CAT 2026 Application Form?

Candidates can follow the steps below to update their form. The correction facility will stay live only for a few days. Missing this window means the current form details become final.

1. Visit the official CAT portal at iimcat.ac.in.
2. Click on the candidate login link on the home page.
3. Enter the registered user ID and password to sign in.
4. Open the form correction or edit application section.
5. Update the photograph, signature, or test city fields.
6. Save the changes and submit the corrected form.
7. Download a copy of the updated application for records.

1. Keep the CAT login user ID and password ready.
2. Check the current photograph and signature saved in the form.
3. Keep a fresh photograph and signature file ready if needed.
4. Confirm the current test city choices and revise if required.
5. Log in to iimcat.ac.in once the correction window opens.
6. Save and download the final corrected application form.
