CBSE Introduces ‘Virtual Inspection’ of Schools; Committees to be Formed for Inspection

As regular inspection of schools has been delayed due to the COVID-19, CBSE has announced that it will be conducting virtual inspections of schools. 

The statement by CBSE says that inspection of schools will be conducted within 10 days of the formation of the inspection committee for each school.

Union Education Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ made the announcement on Twitter by writing, “CBSE has introduced the facility of virtual inspection for up-gradation of Affiliation. This step by CBSE will bring “relief to schools” during COVID-19.

Moreover, the Union Education Minister added the virtual inspection will be very beneficial in the educational interest of students.

CBSE Notification for Virtual Inspection

The notification by CBSE for virtual inspection of schools stated, “Cases where Inspection Committees have conducted the inspection, but have not submitted the report, the committees and schools are hereby directed to submit the report within 10 days from the date of issue of this order.”

CBSE has also mentioned that a facilitation centre will be set up to address problems related to the virtual inspection of schools/ inspection committees.
