CBSE Compartment Exam 2020: AISA Demands Cancellation of exams; Sends Letter to CM’s

All India Students Association, AISA has demanded cancellation of CBSE Compartment Exams 2020 which is scheduled to begin in September.

The students association has sent a letter to the Education Minister and to all the Chief Ministers of the state highlighting the challenges the students may face in order to appear for the exam which is to take place amidst the pandemic.

“Over 2.2 lakh students including students of your state found themselves in the Compartment category by 1-7 marks. The said students demand the cancellation of the Compartment exam for the following reasons,” read the letter sent to the Chief Ministers.

AISA has listed reasons such as the rise of COVID-19 cases, lack of resources, mental health of students, etc.

Following this move, the students association has now expressed its concerns over twitter through a tweet.

We have sent letters to the CM and Edu Min of all the states highlighting the plight of the students.
We have made a formal request for an appointment as well.

Grant Marks on the Basis of Internal Assessment

The students association has urged that marks could be granted on the basis of internal assessment or the board can consider grace marks to deem the students as passed.

Moreover, AISA has also demanded to pass the students in the exam, as the fate of these students is hanging and quick action will ease their situation and they will be able to move forward.
