Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched the ‘Facial Recognition System’ so that students can easily access their academic certificates and documents.
CBSE has introduced this technique so that students can have access to their documents anytime, anywhere. Furthermore, this will also ensure that there is no delay in documentation and admission processes.

The Board will already have the image of the students stored in their database in digital form. The computer will detect the human face when interacted and will produce the documents of the respective students.
When the image of the student matches with the digital image stored in the PC of the Board, it will directly mail the document/certificate to the student. The program is successful and accurate. The application is in use and students can access the documents from two platforms, Parniaam Manjusha and Digi locker.
All the 2020 records for class 10 and 12 are available on the aforementioned applications. They can download the certificates including Mark sheets, Pass certificate, and Migration certificate. This system became more effective during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The system will also assist foreign students studying in CBSE affiliated schools. Also, it will help students who frequently forget their Digi Locker password or any such details including Aadhar Card, etc.
Apart from CBSE, various other Boards have taken crucial steps using technology in COVID times. UP Board also launched a portal for students in order to facilitate the reach of online education.
Through this portal, students are able to have access to the study material in various forms like pdf, etc. The portal has been named ‘e-Gyan Ganga’. Apart from this, counselling sessions are also held by UP Board in this respect.

Apart from this, COVID-19 has also introduced a new dimension to the education world. Uttarakhand schools are planning to modify the curriculum for the schools. They are deciding to lead special subjects to reduce mental stress and pain during the pandemic.
