New Delhi: The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has released the dates for the CBSE supplementary practical exams in 2023. As per the announced schedule, the practical exams for students who have applied for supplementary exams will take place between July 6 and 20.
Students who obtained a combined score of at least 33% in theory and internal assessment were considered to pass by the CBSE Board. The overall pass percentage for CBSE Class 12th this year was 87.33%, while for Class 10, it was 93.12%.
The CBSE Board has stated that students in the compartment category for CBSE Class 12, due to repetition in theory and practical exams, will need to appear for both theory and practical supplementary exams.
Regarding CBSE Class 10, students placed in the compartment category and who were absent during the internal assessment will receive pro-rata marks in the internal assessment based on their theory marks obtained in the supplementary exams.
The CBSE Board clarified that no internal assessment will be conducted for such students during the supplementary examination, as the internal assessment process is conducted throughout the year.
Regular students taking the CBSE Class 12 supplementary practical exams will have to appear for them in their own schools. On the other hand, private students will need to appear at the venue where their supplementary exam center is assigned for theory exams.
The CBSE Board has instructed schools to upload the practical exam marks on the same day on the designated portal. It highlighted that requests for marked changes will not be entertained.
